NBC News Accused of Editing 911 Call in Trayvon Martin Controversy (Video)

NBC News Accused of Editing 911 Call in Trayvon Martin Controversy (Video)

In the NBC segment, Zimmerman says: “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.”
The full version, though, unfolds like this:
Zimmerman: “This guy looks like he’s up to no good, or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.”
911 operator: “Okay. And this guy, is he white black or Hispanic?”
    Zimmerman: “He looks black.”

I don't understand why NBC didn't just go the whole nine yards and edit it to say "he looks like a filthy ni--er".

If you're going to selectively edit something to fuel racial tension then you might as well go all out, right?

Not quite accurate to say they're "accused." They did just that, and shame on them.

    This doesn't shock me much.

Back in the Rodney King days, the news showed the police beating Rodney over and over again.

What they almost never showed was the first part of the tape where Rodney was knocking cops around like bowling pins for quite some time before they finally managed to get him down.

They should have been sued for the riot damage.

Pretty sad. Whenever I see a news story like this blow up so fast, I'm instantly cynical. I recall in the first days saying, "that kid doesn't look 17."

Shouldn't be that way. Is it really so hard to get objective news.
