or to insure those who gather respect the rules and stand off distances, have medical or proper sanitation if the gathering is of any length. For some groups insurance of some sort must be presented before a permit is issued.

But right wing paranoia is focused on denial, which oddly enough is used more on liberal gatherings than 'conservative' ones.

Except they let a Christian church there a few weeks later with the permit, so I guess that is not true.

Another Christian group did go through channels and was given a permit. So much for that theory.
In January 2010, Praise Chapel in San Jacinto was granted a three-day permit to speak and to distribute Bibles and fliers at the same DMV office. They were told not to disrupt the activities of the office. No problems were reported.

For 1st Amendment questions and "public property":
The Supreme Court has handed down several rulings reaffirming that government property does not fall under the First Amendment's protection of the right to public assess or open speech ...

Your post was going good until you injected an assumption at the end. Please define what you think a conservative gathering is compared to a liberal one. The examples I think of are a Tea Party rally vs an Occupy gathering. Hmmm, wonder why they would be more strict on an Occupy rally vs a Tea Party rally?

He wouldn't actually shoot anyone. He's just been part of a culture that is so ridiculous that he thinks he'd actually gain approval amongst his peers by saying such a horrifying thing. The ultimate tough guy wannabe. Sad, really.
