Because he wanted to read Green Eggs and Ham. There doesn't have to be a reason. Public performers "perform" all the time on the street - they aren't charged with an illegal demonstration.

Perhaps he did - but then again, most everyone has a phone with recording capability on them these days, so to say it was obviously staged may not be the full truth, but it's certainly a possibility. And let's face it, they may have wanted to make a point - if that is the case, they certainly are making one.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

It looked like they were in the parking lot. Parking lot is still on the property.

Can you post the link that shows the parking lot is conclusively on DMV owned land?

From my understanding, they were still in the DMV parking lot though, which still does not put them on public property.

Link showing the parking lot is DMV property?

No, I am saying, they were asked to leave, didn't and the cops were called.

By what authority were they "asked to leave"?
