Or paranoid insecurities and fear taking control?
This is probably a reaction to the epidemic spread of HTD's (Hug Transmitted Diseases) throughout our nation's middle schools.

Hard to believe hugging could become a "bad thing" when it comes to kids.

I understand kids, being human, can pretty much FUBAR anything, but surely the educators can educate without having to ban.

Meanwhile: in another thread we're discussing the issue of 5 year olds giving oral sex to eachother.

Odd how the line gets skewed. . . kids should know better, teachers and parents should intervene and be aware: but obviously sexual-awareness is a problem - and I guess people just want to pretend there's not an issue to be discussed.

It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

I need a hug now, can someone hug me?

When they grabbed up my second amendment I sat still and bit my tongue because, truth be told, I’m allergic to guns. But here we are, you with your cold hard fingers wrapped around the neck of my first amendment and I’ve got to shout as loud as I can, because if I don’t, before you know it, you won’t let me say nothing at all"

Ain't no rule by anyone going to stop young people from exploring the opposite sex... They should curb the overt groping with existing methods like detention and suspension in the worst cases. Other than that, let kids be kids.
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

What sorta hug are we talking about?

Want one where we just embrace lightly, quick pat on the back, and then it's over? I call that the "family hug". Then there is the "what's up, bro", in which you do ONLY one arm around each, on the back, one, MAYBE two hits, and then it's back face, with possible a knuckle hit, or some other form of hand shake, directly following. Then, there is the "long time no see" hug, same as the family hug, but a couple seconds longer, and a decent bit more squeezing. Then, you got the "hey, little fella" hug, where one hugger lifts the other off the ground. Those are fun for shorter girls, and younger siblings/cousins. Then, you got the "slow burn", a slower, full embrace, typically from a female with certain full endowments. Those are fun. And last, the "grind", which is probably what was happened with some regularity at this school.

It's New Jersey. Nothing is legal in this god forsaken state.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo
