Walker says unions trying to sabotage government reforms

The police and FF unions that endorsed Walker were insignifcant - and as I recall only raised about $1,000.00 for his election. The major police and FF unions in teh state endorsed his opponent.

PolitiFact | Donna Brazile says that unions that supported Scott Walker are exempt from restrictions on collective bargaining

I agree with Palmer as to why they were exempted - BTW.

Okay, I can accept that it wasn't done for political reasons. However ... he said he didn't take away their bargaining rights because, "he didn’t want public safety work disrupted". Apparently he didn't care if education would be disrupted?

I believe that was a lie. As we have already established, all politicians lie.

I believe Walker did it, as Palmer said, because he knew the backlash against the changes would be bigger then they were due to the changes to the teacher's contracts. It would have created a lot more sympathy form a lot more people. Police and firefighters put their lives at risk every day and walker did this - the political attack ads write themselves.
