I never claimed it would, demand out stripping supply of cheap oil is what causes prices to go up. We passed that point in the US in 1971, and according to the US military, we may be reaching that point on the world level possibly as soon as 2015.

Your kidding right? Do you know where oil comes from? There is not an infinite amount able to be drilled. Eventually it will run dry. That is not a theory that is fact buddy. The only thing that additional pumping tells us is that we are depleting that resource faster.

So did we pass that point in 1971 or are we reaching that point in 2015? Either way, the solution is still more oil. I have yet to hear a reason why not.

For practical purposes it is not running out. That IS a fact. We are discovering new oil faster than we consume it. The only limit is that we arent allowed to access it by the federal govt.

The US passed that point in 1971, and the US military has warned that the world could reach that point possibly as soon as 2015.

What part of the fact don't you get that the world demand for cheap oil is close to outstripping the world stripping the world supply?

We have the highest oil production in a decade and we still can't meet but half our own demand for cheap oil, how could we possibly increase our supply of cheap oil to satisfy the increased demand by the rest of the world?

    What have you done?
I'm conservative, I don't have to prove anything. You're the one that believes there's a dire problem.

Maybe we should concentrate on our own problems first. Maybe drill twice as much?
