I can guarantee you that a good percentage of the Hispanic team salute the Mexican flag, not the US flag.

BTW, Hispanic isn't a race. It's an ethnicity. Hispanics are mostly white, with some having some Indian (Aztec) blood.

American Indians aren't a "race" either - they're Asian (Mongoloid). The only "races" are black, white, and asian.

Here is your context. "You still seem to be ignoring context... not coincidentally." Further your support (in the form of a "likes") for someone who clearly opposed my idea that the actions were of a not racial nature supports the my interpretation. Indeed, you supported the poster's idea that this was a racially charged incident in another one of that DBer's post. There is plenty of context here Captain.

The three posts of yours that I reposted were NOT you asking questions. They were you making statements. You're backtracking.
I am not backpedaling anything. If you look at the way I post, generally it is well researched and seeking to find an answer or more facts. Regardless whether the form is a question or a statement...

The following (from this thread) is an example of the way I look for answers or more facts: "Should you further wish to discuss the issues I would enjoy your thoughts and perspective." Interpret this anyway you wish, this is one type of dialog I use when I advocate a position or wish to draw further thought from someone I am discussing an issue with. I use declaratory statements as well.

    What technique do you use?

"Not coincidentally" is about how your posts had consistently ignored context. This accentuated that fact. Further, my "likes" are irrelevant. I "like" posts for many different reasons. However, I clearly said, earlier in the thread, that what occurred was offensive and rude, but by strict definition, NOT racism. Therefore, I could not have accused you of racism. Perhaps you might have asked, rather than making an assumption on such flimsy evidence.

I posted your comments from earlier in the thread. You made definitive and declaratory statements.

This comment was not in any of the posts that I quoted. Declaratory statements make declarations. They don't look for more facts or answers. They declare things.

Depends on the thread and topic.

Now there is also a claim that the other, predominately Hispanic team, was chanting "Alamo Whites" .... so it seems OK to chant the racist “ALAMO WHITES” against the dominant white Alamo Heights, high school basketball team while they were playing.....to apparently make fun of the other team being predominantly white!

The students who chanted “ALAMO WHITES” were clearly ACTING in a racist manner.

But then the absurd politically correct crowd don't care about that. That's not a good news story.

How long did you have to listen to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck to get that out of the story? Jesus.

I take the totality of the thread into consideration, by doing so content, context, and a record of what was represented can be used in a discussion, if necessary.

You have selected some of my statements and ignored others for reasons I cannot fathom. Thank you for inviting me to this discussion, I have answered your questions, rebutted your presumptions and presented evidence which contradicts several positions you have represented.

Your “like” posts are very relevant as far as I am concerned. Precedent was set when Global Moderator Serenity treated my “like” as a serious position when she stated, “i have a problem with which you "liked".”

Therefore you appear to have two opposing positions, it seems:

    1. You stated that, “[You have] already said in this thread that what occurred was not racism.”

    2. By proxy supported the idea that the statement was racially based. You “Liked” and supported such views. The application of the “Serenity Like Standard” is applied here as a "matter of course".

I have exercised the degree of respect, courtesy and tolerance which I would have expected and thank you once again for your interest in my views. I look forward to discussing other issues and topics with you in the future.

    Warmest regards,

    Connery

I don't see anyone being hanged. They can chant USA at a Hispanic-American team if they want... but that doesn't mean they aren't assholes. They are.
