It might be hypocritical, but I don't think it says as much about the character of the people doing it as a lot are trying to make it seem. Breitbart said nasty things. Others are saying nasty things about him. It's not a big deal. If this thread were about someone who wasn't so controversial, I'd probably care more.

I hated Breitbart long before he croaked, and long before I discovered his statements about Kennedy.

So do you think Breitbart was a partisan hack/troll as well? And do you put him on the same level as those to whom you are referring? After all, they all did the same thing.

My opinion still stands on this whole issue. People in general shouldn't insult the dead. I guess the few caveats being if they were murderers/rapists/etc.

I understand, in principle, that we shouldn't say mean things about the dead peoples.

However, asking someone to speak nice about a dick, when he always spoke bad about this dick while he was alive, is asking for hypocrisy & inconsistency. I prefer rude honesty over dishonest kindness.

From what I see I don't think I should consider the man in the videos remotely as esteem-able as a member of congress...

but the fact is, I attacked Breitbart in life. Therefore attacking him in death, is more than consistent and honest. Better to be honestly brutal than dishonestly kind.
