Re: Sullivan Regrets Comment About Killing Senators

After saying he would "love" to get senators to listen to him and vote for the bill, Sullivan said this: "You know, but other than me going over there with a gun and holding it to their head and maybe killing a couple of them, I don't think they're going to listen unless they get beat."
Damned stupid... hes no shooter obviously.
Jackass would cover it... smooth stoodgin...=\

Was he sounding tough or overemphasizing a point to the edge of conceivable behavior for a representative?

    What he said:

"You know, but other than me going over there with a gun and holding it to their head and maybe killing a couple of them, I don't think they're going to listen unless they get beat."
I think it's a clearly hyperbolic way to say that something doesn't have a chance in hell of getting through. I wouldn't have used it myself, however I don't think it's as ridiculous as putting cross hairs on people.
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK

He wasn't tough talking his way through, he basically made a massive social no-no.
He wasn't trying to intimidate, he farted a figure of speech out his mouth.
If he's real he'll pray about it like a good guy. May god make him less of a douche nozzle.
