    Here's another one:

    http://www.fms.treas.gov/faq/moretopics_gifts.html

Citizens who wish to make a general donation to the U.S. government may send contributions to a specific account called "Gifts to the United States." This account was established in 1843 to accept gifts, such as bequests, from individuals wishing to express their patriotism to the United States. Money deposited into this account is for general use by the federal government and can be available for budget needs. These contributions are considered an unconditional gift to the government. Financial gifts can be made by check or money order payable to the United States Treasury and mailed to the address below.

    U.S. Department of the Treasury
    Credit Accounting Branch
    3700 East-West Highway, Room 622D

As usual the US right wing are hypocrites....
“His GOP attackers” aren't the ones calling for higher taxes.

He's being rightfully called out for not being willing to put his money where his mouth is. He wants others, who do not agree with him, to put their money where his mouth is.

We can be Godless and free. • “Social justice” through forced redistribution of wealth. • Silencing religious opinions counts as “diversity”. • Freedom without moral and personal responsibility. • Civilization can survive the intentional undermining of the family.

Seeing as the republican congress never has stated the desire to pay more taxes, it's not hypocritical in the least. If anything Buffet is taking the childish "I will if you will" route for sake of publicity.*

I doubt Christie ever wanted any Buffet to "go away".

But Christie is right, buffet shouldn't be whining about making other people who make less than him, pay more.

taxing the rich more will never provide the rest of America with an incentive to spend less or demand less government

    1. Just because it wouldn't completely take care of the deficit, that's not a good reason to dismiss it out of hand.

    2. The last time we balanced the budget? Under a president that raised taxes. But you keep on believing what ever you want. Fact's won't change your mind.

So is sending a check to the US government a matter of public record? What makes you think he hasn't mailed one in?

that is the only it would make sense.

it goes the same way when you buy goods. you buy in volume, you get a better rate per item.

the idiots want to turn this axiom on its head, and those that deal in volume have to pay a higher rate.
