Afghans Protest Alleged Koran Desecration

I say we pack it up right now and leave. Seriously. If anything to hear that pupper Karzai cry about the loss of aid money and protection. How soon he forgets that he wouldn't be in power if it weren't for us. The guy's been staddling the line between us and the Taliban for so long its not even funny.

From day one that should have been the message. Obama SHOULD have told Karzai...deal with this ****...NOW...or we are done. Your people want act like animals...fine...**** it...done deal. YOU play with the Taliban...by yourself. The void of leadership in this country is mind bending. Oh...wait...hey...lets have another concert...maybe he could plan one for them. Or...a vacation....that would solve the problem...he could offer them a flight to Hawaii...maybe a cruise somewhere. Bitch oughta at least do the things he has proven to be good at.

And the silence of the lambs...thats pretty thunderous.

i did
doesn't bug me that the korans were burned
hate that our troops' insensitivity to the native culture precipitated this uproar
but as far as burning the book, meh

What about the "insensitivity" of the rioting, murdering Muslims? Do they get a pass in the "sensitivity" area?

The fact is that we expect very little from Muslims and when they do behave in a civilized fashion it always comes as something of a surprise.

....and this is after years of occupation. This is not the first time a Koran had been "disrespected". Everyone has had enough of this situation whether it is the US or Afghanistan. Nothing short of a tinderbox of raw emotion and resentment.

"This isn’t the first incident. Iraqis have complained a lot about people going in to do house searches and throwing the Koran on the ground, those sorts of things. But it’s an impossible task to put before a U.S. soldier to recognize the Koran from another book. They don’t know Arabic. How are they going to recognize the Koran"

"Demonstrators hurled grenades at a U.S. base in northern Afghanistan, and a gun battle left two Afghans dead and seven NATO troops injured Sunday in the escalating crisis over the burning of Muslim holy books at an American airfield. More than 30 people have been killed, including four U.S. troops, in six days of unrest. Still, the top U.S. diplomat in Afghanistan said the violence would not change Washington's course"

These people are savages that can't be reasoned with. But, then again this is what islam has turned them into.

They can intentionally and willfuly desecrate holy relics of other religion with pride. Even one that belongs to their own ancient heritage. However, they will not tolerate the same but will go into days or weeks of unquenchable blooodthirst just because someone unintentionally burnt some of their damn quran.

Despicable.

They can be reasoned with, trust me. Two ways, the business end of a gun or money. These people like to think (and make us think) they are devout and pious but when it comes down to it, most of them, will bend to force or money. There are your few who will martyr themselves, but even people like them will succumb to monetary coercion. A perfect example of this is the Islamic warriors aka the Taliban selling and distributing opium. No more than 15 years ago, the Taliban had almost eradicated all of the poppy crops in Afghanistan. Now, they buy and sell it just like any other drug pusher. Hypocrisy at its finest.

I am not as trusting as you are.

I survived two episodes of islamic violent attacks on my village when I was a child. Out of a clear blue suuny day while I was standing near the sreet watching them parading by our village in their celebration of their prophet mohammad's birthday, somehow they decided to go insane on their most holy day to attack us infidels for no good reason.

They may want the cake and eat it too if they can take your money by force and kill you at the same time. Or they can kidnap you and ask for ransom. Such practices are considered holy to them because their prophet did them too as recorded in their quran and ahadith. Even rape of infidel women are kosher to them as practiced by mo and his gang.

Devout muslims are supposed to immitate after mohammad.

Another outrageous, sick comment from the Iranian Regime!

"nothing short of burning the White House and hanging American military commanders can compensate for the burning of Qurans at a U.S. military base in Afghanistan last week."

Only burning White House will compensate for burning Quran: Iran military official
In islam there is no such thing as forgiveness no matter how much we apologize even if they are the one to start the trouble such as 911. They will gloat over their actrocious acts inflicted on the infidels but will cry bloody murder and be vengeful for life to eternity if we even dare to oppose them and fight back.

I posted this story in the past here and elsewhere in a debate forum of my local newspaper to warn Americans of the danger of islam given the flood of muslim immigration into this country in recent years since 911. It's like letting in a trojan horse while we are sleeping. But, all I get back is relentless personal attacks and name-calling. At that time I did post where that occurred but good friend of mine advised me to be prudent on the internet because I still have my elderly mother and brother and sister and their children back home there.

In my childhood event of the muslim attacks, the second one came about three months later because they were mad that we dared to fight back and hurt some of them badly. On their second attack they tried to burn our village down by shooting fire projectiles from the tower of their mosque.

People like to say not all muslims are violent. But, you will never find one when they go into a violent frenzy against your people. By then, when your life and your loved ones are at stake, it doesn't matter any more if there are some peaceful muslims or not. What matter is that you have to fight for your life and your loved ones' life.

If we can prevent this in the first place, such as preventing islam ideology and culture to take root in this country and restrict their immigration into this country, why not do it for the sake of your children and your children's children and the nation's future?

Wow. Thats all I can say. I am usually the person in these threads with the most dealings with these kind of people but I cede that position to you. A very horrifying experience, I'm sure. All I can say is I am sorry you had to endure that. It doesn't surprise me though. These people are the same everywhere you go. And that's not racism, its the way it is.

Maybe these murderers weren't yet made aware of all the apologies flowing from the White House.

Wow, communications must be very slow over there.

President Bush has apologized to Iraq's prime minister for an American sniper's shooting of a Quran, and the Iraqi government called on U.S. military commanders to educate their soldiers to respect local religious beliefs.

Bush's spokeswoman said Tuesday that the president apologized during a videoconference Monday with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who told the president that the shooting of Islam's holy book had disappointed and angered both the Iraqi people and their leaders.

"He apologized for that in the sense that he said that we take it very seriously," White House press secretary Dana Perino said. "We are concerned about the reaction. We wanted them to know that the president knew that this was wrong."

That sounds too much like a bad Hollywood movie to be true, do you have any proof that Muslims commit more crimes in the US than their fellow citizens?

The savagery exhibited by those who are practice a religion of peace is completely unfathomable.

Christains have had their share of savagery throughout history. And under the right circumstances, they could likely be so again.

Could it be that the Afghans are just protesting because they're sick of ten years of airstrikes?

I was shocked and saddened to see Amy Goodman playing the role of imperial propagandist ...

Ah - the govmnt stenography going on in the American media these days ...:aliens3:

So thats, count them, 3 supposed "liberals" - Ed Yutz, (Schultz), Amy Goodman and Jon Stewart all lying to us on behalf of the U.S. government, calling the Libya war a victory. Shame!

"Yesterday Amy had some “reporter” on who has been traveling around Libya (supposedly) with the “rebels” and various others, so that she could give Amy’s audience a first hand glimpse into what she (and Amy’s website) called the “revitalization” of Libya. If this “reporter” did actually go to Libya, she was there as an embedded journalist, just like the ones CNN and Fox News sent off to Iraq to tell the “real” story about how the Iraqis were so happy we blew the **** out of their country. Remember the Saddam statue? Remember the Jessica Lynch story? That’s embedded journalism."

"So Amy Goodman has this embedded “journalist” on to set the record straight and paint a nice rosy picture of a post Gadhafi Libya. According to her, the people of Libya and Tripoli specifically, are just so damn happy that NATO bombed the **** out of them and killed many innocent civilians in the process, because…"

Why surprised? Amy Goodman has been spewing propaganda for decades, why should she change now?

Just because they have double standers does not mean we should stoop to their level or do dumb things when even dumb Joe Shmoe knows what the consequence is going to be

Surprise , surprise. Jon Stewart plays the role of PBS Charlie Rose in unwavering
manipulation and revisionist history, are we all getting this?

Why do we all like this Stewart guy again, I forget?

by Scott Creighton

"But if you think all of that war-mongering neo-con spin was bad coming from a so-called leader of the American Left, you haven’t seen anything until you see Jon Stewart’s take on the recent premeditated murder of Moammar Gadhafi (while he was already in custody no less) and the NATO bombing of the people of Libya.

"Jon and his writers kick his unfunny propaganda into full gear on this one, barely leaving one single line free of pro-Obama/pro-illegal war spin. It is Orwellian to say the least and completely unsupported by any facts what so ever as you will see."

"Stewart actually jokes about a person being taken prisoner while pleading not to be shot and being killed anyway in cold blood. The audience of “progressives” morbidly laughs along with him. It’s a disgusting moment as bad as a Republican audience booing a gay soldier"
