Nothing will appease these people. They do not want us there. We should leave them alone. Senseless killing over a mistake, not likely, this is bound to happen when those who occupy a country are not wanted.

Yep. I agree with you Connery. These people are so totally bloodthirsty that nothing on this earth will appease them.

The dude used WMD's on his own people. UN inspectors would never say he didn't have them.
BTW, who watched him kill all his enemies?

The people there are protesting for three reasons and not just abt the burning of the koran.

I say we pack it up right now and leave. Seriously. If anything to hear that pupper Karzai cry about the loss of aid money and protection. How soon he forgets that he wouldn't be in power if it weren't for us. The guy's been staddling the line between us and the Taliban for so long its not even funny.

From day one that should have been the message. Obama SHOULD have told Karzai...deal with this ****...NOW...or we are done. Your people want act like animals...fine...**** it...done deal. YOU play with the Taliban...by yourself. The void of leadership in this country is mind bending. Oh...wait...hey...lets have another concert...maybe he could plan one for them. Or...a vacation....that would solve the problem...he could offer them a flight to Hawaii...maybe a cruise somewhere. Bitch oughta at least do the things he has proven to be good at.

And the silence of the lambs...thats pretty thunderous.

but as far as burning the book, meh

What about the "insensitivity" of the rioting, murdering Muslims? Do they get a pass in the "sensitivity" area?

The fact is that we expect very little from Muslims and when they do behave in a civilized fashion it always comes as something of a surprise.

....and this is after years of occupation. This is not the first time a Koran had been "disrespected". Everyone has had enough of this situation whether it is the US or Afghanistan. Nothing short of a tinderbox of raw emotion and resentment.

"This isnt the first incident. Iraqis have complained a lot about people going in to do house searches and throwing the Koran on the ground, those sorts of things. But its an impossible task to put before a U.S. soldier to recognize the Koran from another book. They dont know Arabic. How are they going to recognize the Koran"
