I don't even know what this post is supposed to mean. We know what we're doing and the possible consequences of it. I'm really sick and tired of people implying that women are stupid creatures. Many may make poor decisions, I will never argue that point, but they certainly don't make those poor decisions due to lack of knowledge on the birds and the bees.

Of course, we're stupid. Only men are smart enough to know what they're doing when they have unprotected sex with us.

Being a man of integrity, I trust you were about to tell Arcana XV to keep her hatred of men for another thread. I'll stand out of your way while you do that.

Sourcing of abortion stats is very challenging because data collection isn't compelled. This means that some states report info, some report more, and some don't report. I'd say that Guttmacher is a reliable source and also that it's extremely difficult to locate information that is not from a source with a lean. Guttmacher's is Planned Parenthood, but I would say too that although much information comes from pro-life sources, this doesn't necessarily delegitimize the information any more that Guttmacher's being the research arm of PP invalidates its.

As for the Texas law itself, IF it's true that abortion clinics reassure clients that what they're aborting is just an unimportant bit of tissue, providing those clients with sonograms so that they can see and hear for themselves exactly what they're aborting is a counterbalance.

I love men. I really have no idea what you're talking about. Other than making it clear that you have a very dismal understanding of the concept of sarcasm, I can't really figure out the point of this comment.

Like I said, I'm open to all sources with minimal to no bias. I'm one of the people who want to reduce the number of abortions as much as possible, so precise data on when, how and why women have abortions is very interesting to me. I haven't come across very many sources that are as comprehensive as Guttmacher's, so if anyone's got any, I want to see them.

The law will not change anything. This is not the right way to go about reducing the number of abortions. It's time, energy and resources wasted and as someone who actually cares about doing something to make abortion a rarity, I find that infuriating.

Well, if you want stats on late-term abortion, you would have to study state stats such as those of Kansas.
