2 American women arrested during protest in Bahrain

With Americans getting into trouble in middle eastern countries and being charged with spying why would any American in their right mind go to a middle eastern country.

American have always been proud of there freedom and democracy, and they should help people of other countries to gain it.

it i impossible for and angry man to have an erection.
If a man have an erection and his mode turned to anger, he will lose his erection.

If you are not making this up, Either the vividity made you see things that does not exit or Bahrainis are another human species.

Again, we do not know, why would we believe you?
liblady in the post no. 16 commented on something, and your answer was on another thing. Why the jumping?!

i think it was we should have ignored you from the beginning.

Oh bull.. it was mass hysteria.............

Always blaming someone else...

Bahrain isn't about democracy.. Its about the have nots wanting more and dominating those who have achieved something.
How can a tiny country of just over a million people and hundreds of billions of oil revenue have a large proportion of 'have nots' unless the 'haves' are a bunch of greed-crazed, decadent despots. You don't have to be a raging communist to wonder at how an obscenely rich ruling elite can mismanage their nation's resources so badly that a situation like this arises.
I have been caught up in an hysterical Shia riot and I will NEVER forget it.
Oh, poor you.

LOL - is that so? LOL

heavens - we're not stupid, we know very well that some men thrive on anger and such strong emotions to feed their sexuality.

Bahrain has a very, very small oil production.. for domestic consumption.. The money goes to pay for social services and running the government.

Start with the facts. It ain't billions.. its hardly millions.

It has a per capita GDP higher than Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Oman and about half of the EU. It is a rich country, but with crippling social inequality. Therein lies the reason for the unrest.

Oil - production: 46,430 bbl/day (2010 est.)

Bahrain's success is based in their financial sector, not in oil.. and that talent is not coming from the Shia in the underclass.

"In Bahrain, petroleum production and processing account for about 60% of export receipts, 60% of government revenues, and 30% of GDP."

Any nation as small and as rich as Bahrain only needs actually to have an 'underclass' if it decides to have one. Rampant social inequality is a policy decision of the ruling class.

Wiki is wrong.. 46,000 barrels day is a tiny production.

Oil revenue.. small at it is ... goes to run the government and pay for various social programs.

Saudi Arabia has periodically bailed them out for decades..

The Shia underclass want free housing and jobs they are NOT qualified for.

This Shia "underclass" has been showing signs of unrest since 2008 and if the Sunni government doesn't do something about the rampant discrimination the Shia majority has been putting up with for too long, the unrest is only going to get worse.

Oh piffle.. they have shown unrest since 1950..

While most Shia are not nuts.. the same hysterics will always be dissatisfied... and staging riots and strikes.

This isn't about "democracy"... its about dominance and freeloading.

All I'm saying is that when you keep a majority pinned down for too long, eventually you're gonna face a ****storm.

No I am a white bread and Mayo Christian from Saudi Arabia... and I want only the very best for Bahrain..

They have the potential to be a gem in the region.

Not qualified?! have you looked in every case to say something like that?

In Saudi Arabia and in Bahrain, the ration of educated shia are more than sunni, and that's because of religous reasons and because the most of sunnis in the arabian peninsula historically are beduins -nomads-, while shia are more civilized and have always lived in cities.

What is happening in Bahrain is sectarian discrimination, and not that they are not qualified.

and you as someone living saudi arabia should that.

Are you satisfied with the regime of Bahrain?

Arab countries have fared far better under monarchies than as republics..

That Shia minority that are rioting are not particularly well educated... they are as they have always been.
