I would be among the first to acknowledge my belief that some priests in the church were abusing kids. I am in favor of those who either participated in the practice or let it happen should be in jail, just like I would be if it were me. However, the person making the assertion of the massiveness of the problem is a lawyer in a civil case basing his argument on a document or documents he says is sealed and therefore unavailable to prove or disprove his point.

I have all the sympathy in the world for any child that was abused but I wonder how many people are making false claims of abuse to reap the rewards that will be awarded by the Catholic Church and how big the rewards are for the ambulance chasers who took the case.
