[R.I.P.] Whitney Houston has died

How incredibly sad. My sympathies to her family, especially to her child.

That is so sad..............May she RIP. No One should die at 48. Dope take another one............

I wonder what killed her? Most people don't just fall over at 48 without a reason....

That's personal, and the family will tell the public if and when they choose to, unless she was murdered.

I'm guessing drugs....

Well yeah, but it is perfectly normal to be surprised that someone dies at 48 and wonder why.

I'm guessing drugs....

that would be a lot of drugs.

Doctors asked me about that when I went in with pitting edema at 43.

And the answer is no in my case about the drugs.

a great talent; wonderful voice. and while she had struggles, i don't know anyone who doesn't.

rest in peace.

Wow. I'm genuinely shocked. This came out of the blue. She was just in the news for looking like she was back on drugs at a nightclub two days ago so I don't think it would be off to assume that drugs are what took her. Regardless, I always find deaths like this incredibly sad. Talented people with wide reaching impact dying relatively young and all of sudden brings a certain type of sadness.

Beautiful lady, incredible voice. America loved her until she hit the skids on drugs. No doubt that is the way she died. You don't die of "old age" a 48. If you could ask her now if the drugs were worth it, I doubt she'd say yes.

You people crack me up.

If she had never met Bobby Brown, she'd probably still be alive.

While I can't say I was looking for it, or expecting it anytime soon, I can't say I'm shocked, either.

Though I cannot claim to have been a fan, my wife was...that's enough for me. Show a bit of respect people...she just died. Many people will be effected by this, some will cry, some will wonder, and many others will simply grieve.

Perhaps this one night, we might appreciate what was contributed to our society by this woman...rather than try to tear her down in demise.

Dayum, get real.

I'm shocked because I always assumed she would get it together. Never really thought addiction would be the end of her.

Yeah, we don't know how she OD'ed on blow, so don't be cruel. It's her prerogative.

Sure thing. Well except for the pig papparazinazis will find out. They always do.

Nevermind....do what you will.

She was in her prime. She had her whole life ahead of her. Then she met that lowlife Brown.
Tina Turner could have gone that route, but she didn't. Too bad Whitney wasn't as strong as Tina.
