Unknown members of the hacker collective “Anonymous” reportedly broke into the private email account of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad this week and learned that the embattled dictator is not one much for electronic security.
That’s because he picked the second-weakest password around: “12345,” according to documents published by Israeli news magazine Haaretz. Security researchers say the only password that’s weaker is “password.”

All I can say is LOLZ. :rofl That dipstick Assad should have chosen a better password.

Good on ya Anonymous, good on ya.

If he was dumb enough to use 12345 to begin with, what are the odds that he changed it?

Furthermore, i didnt think email providers even allowed 12345 to be used anymore.

His network admin is an idiot for allowing five digits and not more, plus not requiring the use of special characters and alphanumeric combo.

Are you gonna tell the Syrian president he can't have the password he wants?

Absolutely, and he'll comply. I'll bet Obama complies with his admins. You **** with the admins and your network won't run right. Who do you think runs this world anyway? :D

Actually, the best passwords would be several words stuck together. Like "bananacaliforniatyrannosaurusrexinspace". Much easier for a human to remember, and each successive digit makes it harder for a computer to guess.

Naw, he's the idiot. I HATE those ridiculous constraints they put on passwords. Sometimes mine are more complicated than they allow and I want to choke whoever made the silly rules up.

Software is a tool, and a tool is only as good as the tool who uses it.
