Romney wins in Florida

Yeah, not surprising. All the old people in Florida remember what a douche Gingrich was in the 90's.

whack the salamander!!

That's pretty much it.

if it wasnt such a large jump in results i would say to discredit anything that says projected.shall we not forget florida in 2000 and where projected winners got us,it was gore,no wait bush,no wait we dont know.

Exactly. I have no doubt that fact was a major contribution to Gingrich's defeat. Younger voters don't remember what a complete asswad Gingrich was. He should have been tried for treason. I'm glad the old ones in Florida remembered.

Romney out-spent Gingrich 5 to 1, almost all in attack adds. It's not that people remember what a disaster Gingrich was/is/always will be, it's that they respond well to advertising.

So can Gingrnch regroup and make a comeback?

He'll make something of a comeback, but I don't think he's a real threat to win. He doesn't have the resources to mount an attack against that kind of spending.

Remember how "true Conservatives" were peeing themselves with joy over Citizens United?

Exactly. If you've read any of the interviews with Citizens United backers, they always say, "You can't buy an election . . . Americans aren't that stupid . . . they don't fall for advertising." I'm still waiting for the interviewer to ask, "If they don't fall for advertising, then why do companies and PACs spend hundreds of millions of dollars advertising a product like Romney (or any other model from either the R or the D brands)?" I mean, there must be *some* value to it, or they wouldn't be spending that much to promote their products.
