Remember how "true Conservatives" were peeing themselves with joy over Citizens United?
Exactly. If you've read any of the interviews with Citizens United backers, they always say, "You can't buy an election . . . Americans aren't that stupid . . . they don't fall for advertising." I'm still waiting for the interviewer to ask, "If they don't fall for advertising, then why do companies and PACs spend hundreds of millions of dollars advertising a product like Romney (or any other model from either the R or the D brands)?" I mean, there must be *some* value to it, or they wouldn't be spending that much to promote their products.
