Yeah, real funny... The way you just made up something you wished were true so you could make a valid point...
I won't even bother to point out you failed to included links or proof, because I know none exist.
The goal of the protest was to occupy a publically owned abandoned building and turn it into a community center. It turned violent when the police shot tear gass and rubber bullets into the crowd.
The burning of the American flag, while regrettable, has nothing to do with Occupy as a whole. It was, however, a direct response to police brutality and it's quite clear, by reading some of the replies of this thread, that conservatives and liberals alike feel they have the moral highground over the protesters, yet they allow the government to kill in the name of that flag. How hypocritical.
"Idealists foolish enough to throw caution to the winds have advanced mankind and have enriched the world.
"The political arena leaves one no alternative, one must either be a dunce or a rogue. "
"The motto should not be: Forgive one another; rather understand one another. "
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.
Alexis de Tocqueville
They generally have a moral high ground over the protesters because they aren't causing public disturbances, diverting vital police resources, and destroying public or private property.that conservatives and liberals alike feel they have the moral highground over the protesters, yet they allow the government to kill in the name of that flag. How hypocritical.

"We all of us know down here that politics is a tough game. And I don't think there's any point in being Irish if you don't know that the world is going to break your heart eventually."-Daniel Patrick Moynihan, December 5, 1963
