Only one man, Staff Sergeant Frank Wuterich, has been found guilty of the Haditha massacre (victims of which involved 10 women and children,) and may face a maximum of 3 months in prison when he is sentenced. That works out to fewer than four days in respect of each of the 24 people slaughtered. I am speechless!

If only he uploaded an episode of some TV show, then he'd spend years in jail. Sometimes our justice system makes me sick.

I'm blown away, too. I can't believe anyone was actually convicted of wrong doing at Haditha.

This is nothing more than another one of those political convictions, so the diplomats can look good.

... thought that was the whole purpose of this war in the first place.

Oh, wait. Diplomats, not politicians. My bad.

Typical US military justice, protecting their own and their own image of never doing anything wrong. Those soldiers should at a minimum gotten life, if not the death sentence.

Iraqis are collateral damage, Americans are people. And just like in SEA, it will take years before most Iraqi people can build a more stable life after the Americans left.

The guy plead guilty... I mean he admitted to wrong doing and that's how he was convicted. Do you not believe the guy's own admission of guilt?

You don't have a clue what happened at Haditha, you're opinion is based entirely on what you'd like to think happened. No facts, all speculation.

It's shocking that people get in trouble for shooting unarmed civilians?

A life sentence, for what? They didn't commit a crime. Made a mistake in the heat of battle, maybe; but not a crime.

It's war. Stuff happens.

What's shocking, is how American want to sell their own servicemen down the river, after the bad guys used unarmed civilians as human shields.

Well, by al means, El-Tee...tell us exactly what happened. Be sure and throw in all those pro-al Qaeda eyewitnesses, too.

Ahh, yes. What did he plead guilty to?
You have to be able to read to find the answer. The sentencing after that guilty plea makes a lot more sense if you look at it in that light rather than an overabundant sense of outrage.
