The constitution already has rules in place that gives politicians special treatment.

Article 1 section 6 states that in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same

I posted this in breaking news not realizing it was down here. I think he is doing a great thing, making a good statement. He did in fact offer to go through the scanner again but did not want the pat down. I hope that he gets his message across that they need to cool down on stuff like this. I did not vote for Mr Paul when he was elected, but he seems to be a great Senator so far, and wouldn't mind voting for him next election.

In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan

Thank you TSA for making my job more valuable :-)
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Someone did need to challenge what is going on.

We needed someone that can get a voice across to challenge what we are doing. There is zero chance Rand Paul was carrying a bomb. Some 90 year old woman does not have one in her diaper. There is no need to feel up little kids.

TSA is nothing but a very large group of idiots.

As an airline Captain I had to put up with their idiocy for years. Thankfully I am retired now and do my best never to fly commercial again.
I came into this world fighting, screaming and covered in someone else's blood. I have no problem going out the same way.

I don't believe the article states that he was arrested. He was detained pending a pat-down which he refused to agree to. In my mind that SHOULD be a Felony (though I am well aware that it is not).

Soooo......then....is this a statement that we should...er....PROFILE more? Stating that little kids, granny, and Paul aren't carrying a bomb is profiling, just as surely as stating that someone with a middle eastern sounding name, tan skin and dark hair is more likely to have a bomb...

Or this saying that we shouldn't have these added security measures?
