    Say what now?
The Democrats offered smoke-and-mirror cuts. What I say is that Obama was full of **** on spending control the day he was sworn in, is full of **** now, and will be full of **** for so long as he breaths air. What I say is that with the Oval Office, and both Chambers, Democrats raised the debt by almost $5 Trillion in 3 years. And Obama ain't done yet.

    Were you saying something ?

Yeah, I quoted the facts, but you've got your opinions to keep you warm so have a nice winter.

The 'facts' you quoted left alot to be desired. No one argues that Cantor walked out of the meeting. The numbers reported were just that, numbers. What was IN THE NUMBERS? Those are the desired facts...can you provide those?

The article I reference above listed multiple times the Democrats have offered to cut spending along with raising revenues. Each time it has been rejected.

I expect it will be no different with Obama's proposal to streamline the federal government.

This is a familiar Republican refrain. Obama and Democrats offer to make large spending cuts and Republicans immediately slam the offer back in their faces. So naturally the Democrats don't waste time putting the details of an already rebuffed deal on paper. Then Republicans claim it never happened because ... where's the paper?

Thankfully Obama finally seems to have caught on to this parlor game, which is one reason he's seeking fast track authority to consolidate agencies. Y'all want to shrink government? Really? Well here's your chance. On paper. Yes or no?

The July 31 entry was agreed upon...the last offer in the list was Republican...so no 'each time it has been rejected'.

    I hope not.

Forcing the GOP to either expose their hypocrisy, or support his proposal. Great move!

Do you think Obama's seeking "fast-track authority" is going to reassure independents or drive them away?

Wouldn't that depend on how much value the independents place on steamlining the federal government to make it easier and quicker for businesses to get the permits and the help they need, while reducing redundancy and costs?
