Which is why I said, "that personality is good for Chief of Staff". It is good in a sense, but it probably became too much. Sometimes things sound better than they turn out to be.

You bring up a very good point. Do you know of any instances during the tenure of Emanuel where his personality did get too abrasive and did produce conflict? Because I do not remember anything like that. I thought Rahm would be used as the pitbull to keep the GOP at bay but he was never allowed to assume that role. To this day I wonder why?

The whole Rahm thing seems to me as if a hockey team went out and hired a tough enforcer who likes to mix it up but then tells him to be a finesse player and keep out of the penalty box.

Daily is cutting his losses, because he knows that the position of, "Obama's chief of staff", will no longer exist, this time next year.

The goonish ways of Chicago politics don't get the same traction outside of mobville. The Dark-Age tactics of Emanuel and Daley don't fly.

Imagine, Chicago actually makes D.C. look like the land of kumbaya.

Apparently, you can't kill all the Republicans in D.C. like you can in Chi-Town.

And now, Fannie Mae CEO Michael Williams is resigning, too.
