So you don't want nuclear energy, no coal, no oil, no more dams for electrical power, no cutting trees and the BHO's investment in solar has been a money pit.

It seems you are only for the things you don't have.

I'm all for nuclear power. But I'm not going to pretend that we don't have a problem with waste disposal, because we do. It's just, IMO, the lesser of evils.

Canada is the #1 supplier of oil to the United States, and now Canadian oil projects are owned and operated by the Chinese. Gotta love the irony.

I think it's a serious error in judgment for the Canadian government to abandon its "51% Canadian" policy, seeing as how no North American nation owns any stake in the tar sands. I really feel that both the U.S. and Canada are being devoured by foreign interests.
Underestimating Chinese goals and willpower is a fatal mistake.

So you want more nuclear power plants built? Is that your way forward?

I think that's part of the solution, but it's going to take a holistic approach. More nukes, more solar, more wind, more geothermal, more natural gas, and hopefully improvements in technology to clean up coal and oil emissions.

more electric power won't solve our oil problems
there has never been a death or serious injury at an American Nuclear power plant that where the nuclear part of it can be blamed...
likewise the spent fuel storage facilities located at those power plants....

More electric power can solve a lot of our oil problem. Approximately 65% of the oil we use is consumed in private vehicles. Private vehicles can be run on electricity.

And the electricity will need to be produced by coal and nuclear. As we essentially are not expanding our electric output to any degree at present, we are still just as screwed. And when we do produce it, we have to be economically competitive doing so, or we are just as screwed as such follies as Solyndra.

You asked. "You think that company can handle all of our nuclear waste?" which is a rather negative response to a solution that has been ongoing for years, with varying different technologies available allover the world as well'

It's really too bad you didn't express the same doubts about the billions of dollars BHO wasted on his ridiculous whims. You didn't support them, did you?

Great! Than BHO can issue an edict shutting down all gas stations this week!
