Granted. But I don't think it matters. Mass murders occur in gun free zones because they are gun free. So let's fix that by making them gun rich zones. When everyone employed by the state in our schools is very likely armed and competent we will have very few additional days of trouble.

Show me proof that arming the school officials would result in less violence. Some colleges have armed security guards ( I.e. Virginia Tech) and still have gun violence. I don't buy it.

Of course you don't buy it. Do you think an armed villain looks upon one or two armed security guards, easily recognized, easily identified and easily dispatched, if necessary, in the same way as the potential for any adult he sees being armed and skilled? If you were the armed villain which would you prefer be the target of your mayhem, a campus filled with tender unarmed targets and clearly marked as a gun free zone, or a campus filled with armed adults clearly marked as a gun rich zone? Would you pass by the latter and seek out the former? Most would. The one's who would not would be stopped by people armed with guns. Do you prefer to be murdered while waiting for an armed response from the local police force or would you prefer an immediate armed response from adults on the scene?
