So now we know why this bill was for only two months. This is going to get really ugly as Obama isn't going to get the money.

PUHLEEZE! spare us. So I guess to you if a poster you disagree with doesn't take your bait to goose chase down endless examples for you to dismiss out of hand, and make your diversion successful then you think you have something to get all excited about....Pathetic

You do realize that the vast majority of them have signed a pledge NOT to raise taxes under any circumstances, right?

I will respond to the other poster's request (still trying to figure out why you think its any of your business) when I have time to research the question.

If I fail to find any corroborating evidence to support my statement, I'll man up and admit I was wrong. I know that is a foreign concept to you.

In politics, perception is more important than reality:

Just eight days away from the Iowa primary, President Obama’s poll numbers are suddenly beginning to surge. For the first time since the summer, his approval index rating is in the positives, meaning more people approve of the job he’s doing than disapprove.
Indeed, rather than hurting him, the payroll tax debacle seems to be the reason for the surge. The Republicans in the House did themselves no political favors by appearing obstinate, especially after the Senate passed their payroll tax bill 89-10. President Obama capitalized on the House GOP’s initial refusal, branding himself a tax-cutting champion of the middle class – which is exactly where he wants to be heading into 2012.

and you would - for a change - be correct
for you to man up and admit the mistake would be unexpected

Actually, he is going to get the money. The debt deal passed such that all Obama has do do is ask for it from the Treasury through 2012. He can only be denied if Congress passes a new bill which revokes that privilege. Obama can then veto it, the new bill, and unless they override the veto, he gets the money.
