Re: 2 women share 1st kiss at US Navy ship's return

I see alot of liberals in here arguing that this is no big deal, and that those that are even talking about the coverage of it must have some sort of problem with the act, or hinting are homophobic in some way, even with posting to the contrary. I also have seen the argument in here that this was spontaneous in some way, and that one report even compared it to the famous kiss in Time Square NY after WWII. I did find this interesting tid bit, seemingly overlooked by all in the WaPo story about it....

Navy officials said it was the first time on record that a same-sex couple was chosen to kiss first upon a ship’s return. Sailors and their loved ones bought $1 raffle tickets for the opportunity.

No, it has to do with a photo-op to push a gay agenda down our throats. It's the government becoming (again) involved in morality. And what a laugh that "gay is the chosen word for a group of people that are always whining about one thing or the other.

All the "media" has to do is stage 1 photo and get one half the country hating the other half.

How will you ever unite to combat the real bad guys?

Campaign rhetoric aside, this administrations goal was NEVER to unite anyone.

Funny, the only whining I see is coming from you and other anti-gay supporters.

Doesn't bother me, just the other anti-gay supporters. They can go pound sand.

I have been a gay rights activist for many years. I have friends and some family members that are gay and this indeed is significant to all of us. To each their own.
Since you don't care, let me ask you this. Why would you quote me saying that the article is celebrating a lesbian kiss by someone who came home in a uniform and that the article is not about about celebrating soldiers coming home and then write what you wrote? What are you trying to say to me then if it is not to imply whether I believe it is significant or not?
We went from sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me to safe spaces.

I stated exactly what I did because I didn't know your position (for or against it being significant). I stated my views of it quite clearly afterwards. Again, nowhere did I state you didn't think it was significant.

It would be antithetical to work with a group you believe is bent on destroying what this country is don't you think? Oh, and BTW, you want to talk about working with others? I suggest you go back to when Pelosi, and liberals controlled the house and you tell me how interested Pelosi was in working with repubs? Not very.
