maybe you can explain why he/the senate was expected to have done anything differently. this should be rich!
Never said they were "expected" to do anything differently, just said they could have.

Perhaps you can point out where I made such a claim. This should be rich.

    1. I'm not the least bit wrong.
    2. You don't know if I'm a liberal or not.
    3. I don't care who agrees with your. They're wrong too.

The Senate considered and passed the House bill, with its own amendments. Just like how any other bill works. You are trying to turn nothing into something. It's pathetic.

Only an idiot would look at your posts and not conclude you are a flaming liberal.

Whether you know it or not, you just admitted I was right, for the third time. The Senate NEVER voted on the House version with no changes, the same claim I've been making all along.

Just admit you were wrong and stop these childish games.

It is irrelevant. Please stay on topic.

No chamber ever votes on the other chamber's bills with "no changes" unless it is extremely non-controversial legislation. Why would they do that? The point of considering a bill is to consider changes to it. Are you suggesting the Senate should have held a vote on the bill without allowing any amendments to it?

Stop pretending you know what you're talking about or that you have a point. You are hanging your hat on a piece of useless, irrelevant information as if it matters. Now that is childish.

Here is the bottom line: Boehner made a deal with the Senate to avoid a conference, and then he couldn't hold up his end of the bargain and now he's blaming everyone but himself.

Yes, actually it happens all the time.

Yes, they should have definitely voted on the original House bill with no amendments.

First you claim that the Senate voted on the House bill unchanged, then you finally admit you were wrong. And I'm the one that doesn't know what I'm talking about ???

    That's hilarious and childish.

You have no proof of that, but that's not surprising.

Can you do me a favor and change your lean to very liberal? I haven't seen one post of yours that says anything even "slightly liberal".

Good question. Honestly, I think it will become a neutral point because both sides will point the finger at each other to the point where it just becomes a big he said/she said and we, the people get tired of hearing it. Personally, I blame the Senate GOP because they didn't have the gumption to take a stand against a stopgap bill. Once again, the my Tea Party is made to look the bad guy because they try to do something more responsible.

    False.

Please post a bill in the last Congress - one that’s not a non-controversial one like renaming a Post Office or whatever, or an emergency bill - that passed both chambers without amendments, or passed the second chamber without amendments after being passed over from the first.

    I’ll wait.

Yes, they should have definitely voted on the original House bill with no amendments.
Why would they do that? The Senate can’t have input on a bill? It should just vote up or down on every bill that comes from the House, and vice versa?

Moreover, now that the House has a Senate tax bill - why doesn’t it pass the Senate bill without amendments? Because the House went first?

First you claim that the Senate voted on the House bill unchanged
    I never said that.

It voted on the House bill, after amending it. Which is how it works with every major bill.
