If I were his son I will send his body to USA for cryogenic freezing for future rebirth.

    He's finally dead...

A government which robs Peter to pay Paul, can always count on the support of Paul

His only life-line/umbilical cord was China, and they didn't really like him. They let his people starve by the millions in horrible famine. It's not like he had any friends or any real support. He refused to let outside information into his country. The populace remains literally and figuratively in 'in the dark'. For a technologically developed country, there is probably no bigger craphole on Earth. He was completely isolated and the entire world sighs in relief at his passing. That's skilled in the politics of Asia?

You're right about one thing, it's no mean feat to be the greatest failure of a country in modern history.

That's funny because Lil' Kim was a huge fan of "fireworks", right?

Well the truth is somewhere between yours and TEDS statements, because the fact his regime has been able to survive despite everything you listed is a testament to the relative effectiveness of his Iron fisted leadership.

That's nonsense. The ability to brutally oppress a population does not equate to "skilled in Asian politics". He was despised by all and has nearly destroyed his people. The only reason he was able to do this is because no one much gave a crap and he built nukes under Clinton's desk.

Are you seriously presenting the argument that Asian countries have a history of imperialist democratic liberation and he was able to fend it off? That's "skilled in Asian politics"?

He was skilled in starving his people and developing nukes while signing a treaty not to, but his politics were a disaster just like his country.

    First of all!

Monika Lewinsky was the only one making Nuclear Bombs under Clintons Desk (sorry you set that up far too well).

Secondly that's not exactly what I meant. North Korea has managed to keep itself relevant and keep China on side somehow, even if its tenious.

I don't agree with TED's statement 100% but it takes something to keep your regime in tact when everyone around you hates you.

And that is NOT skilled politics. That is being a good brutal dictator. And no one really cared to stop him. The only reason he was ever relevent was because he attacked South Korea, starved his people to terrible famine and developed nukes. That being his only relevence (and kidnapping actresses), I don't see the "skill in Asian politics" AT ALL.

This is like saying "being a brutal dictator" is "skilled in Asian politics". You want skilled in Asian politics? Look at the (free) Asian Tigers - they're living in the first world, that's getting the job done.

I got news for you dude, he's not the only brutal dictator in Asia; they are not "skilled in Asian politics" either, and their countries are, for the most part, also pieces of garbage.

Which is probably good news. Kid seems to be an idiot.
The US has had 8 years (2001 - 2008) of experience with kid-idiot style leadership, so we know what it's like.

China's economy is kicking major butt, although their democracy reforms are no better than that in the US.
