of course not. but is that really somehow worse than killing them in private via lethal injection?

it's the killing a person on account of their sexual orientation that drives the unacceptability. the hanging of the corpse from a lamppost is incidental.

why you all hatin' on saudi? you jelly? you must be, look at how awesome this country is

the drifting around a school bus full of children is especially awesome. Seriously, though, saudis probably watch similar videos from the states and are like "look at these crazy hillbilly americans"

Clearly not. Which is why i said Saudi and Irans human rights abuses are both disgusting and appalling. You're the one suggesting that hanging gays from lamposts is worse.

Hanging gays from lamposts (and they often use cranes by the way) is no more repulsive and barbaric than the Saudis taking this woman to a public square, laying out plastic so they don't mess up their streets with blood, shackling the prisoner and cuffing their hands behind their back while they are made to kneel down facing Mecca. The executioner then stands behind the prisoner, pokes them in the back with the blade so that they lift their head and then they decapitate them. If they are lucky their head comes off with one swing of the sword. There is a doctor in attendance and after someone has retrieved the head, the doctor stems the flow of blood spurting out of the neck and then he sews the head back on before the body is taken away.

That's what the Saudis do. You won't convince me one is worse than the other. They are both disgusting.

Muslims are the most violent religious zealots on the planet....acknowledging that would go along way to building bridges

Lol generalizing statements with no evidence to back them up are generally flawed.

Most violent? Maybe...but I think you can prove that there is a sect of the religion that is violent and extreme. But I am sure you can do that with many religions and groups. I think the issue is that it is portrayed as acceptable by muslims for other muslims to be violent.

They both have something in common...much of their cultural attitude hasn't gotten close to entering the 20th century let alone the 21st century. In that way, yes...I think they are similar.

Both are laws are equally odious but hanging Gays from lampposts is doubly abhorrent. Many American states have the death penalty and people protest against this. But even those who most advocate the death penalty in America would not want to hang people from lampposts. There has to be some dignity in the solemn taking of a human life, and should not be seen as a public celebration, as the Iranians make it.

Its not an unfair statement. There are Muslims committing murder in the name of their religion in many areas of the world, including North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and of course the Middle East. A Huge number of Muslims support these atrocities, as we can see from the subject of this thread.

The phrase "not all Germans are Nazis" might have been used preceding WWII but people were sophisticated enough then to understand that. Now it seems that there are people so stupid that they have to repeatedly remind others that "Not all Muslims are terrorists". They have to be reminded occasionally that this is very common knowledge,

Yes, to say that one is uglier or more ignorant than another is a difficult road to take. You pretty much summed it up.
