I'm getting tired of all the bad news that gets reported...and repeated on these forums, so this is my "feel good" news thread. I intend to post one feel good news story each week.

Here is the first:

When Sister Nicolette Etienne went on stage at Holy Name Catholic School, she thought she was among staff members getting an award.

But Etienne, who turned 50 Wednesday, soon found out she was there for a celebration in her honor and that she'd been given a trip to France...

Catholic Schools teach children the right way which is to respect people and to always try to be a Peace Maker. I have first hand knowledge of this.

That's fine...but these kids went far beyond the lessons you talk about.

They had a desire to make the wish of a teacher come true. They attracted support for their desire from others. They achieved the means to grant the teacher's wish. And somehow, they kept it all secret from the teacher.

I find that rather amazing and commend the kids and everyone who supported them.
