its a personal attack. and I have dealt with it as such.

As far as the “Occupy” vermin are concerned, the cafe's owner is surely a filthy evil capitalist who made his wealth by exploiting workers and consumers and destroying the environment. They probably are proud to take him down.

With the surname "Epstein" they assume he is a Zionist .... he is a prime target for the Occutards. All one has to do is look at the OWS signs to figure this out.

how many cafes have closed due to large corporations outsourcing our manufacturing sector?

how many cafes have closed due to the fallout caused by the risky gambling of corporate elites?

how many cafes have closed due to restricted lending while those same banks enjoy loans from the fed whenever they need them?

more than one, that's for sure.

meanwhile, OWS at Zuccotti Park had weekly Jewish religious ceremonies.

your anti-Semitism/anti-Israel strawman is just that, a strawman.

It's easier to just dehumanize someone than it is to address their concerns, isn't it?

You just called human beings vermin. You should reflect on what that says about you.

All one has to do is listen to Rush Limbaugh, you mean.

So by putting more people right outside his business he has lost business?

Incidentally, pizza places are doing awesome in NYC. OWS IS GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY! MY RANDOM ANECDOTE PROVES THIS!

Th occutards screwed over the 1%?

Great job!!!

Will you continue to defend these vermin when they become a threat to your own livelihood?

Yes, because protest and assembly are essential rights which must be protected. Freedom must be upheld. Some of y'all may have a hard time understanding the principles of freedom and liberty; but those where what this Republic was founded on. And all the stupid propaganda and retard arguments about OWS cannot change that fact.

Some people have the balls to live with the consequences of freedom, others run from it. "Conservatives" at one time were in the former, but are now in the latter.

The damage has already been done, KC.

And no, this is not "pointless anti-OWS whining."

Yes it is because the OP isn't even about OWS. Those numbers have dwindled and no longer cause disruption (nor are there folk there to buy stuff from the stores); the complaint was about barricades and trying to restore a bit of normalcy now that the protest has died down.

Let´s keep in mind that freedom of speech is also included among these rights. Thus if many want to call the OWS protesters useless, dirty and ignorant, they have that right as well.

We don't have to support protesters just because it is their right to protest.

some folks here seem to have lost respect for the OWS protesters' right to free speech & assembly.

Why should they have anyone´s respect? Respect has to be earned and most of these people apparently haven't earned it.

And the question is where they assemble, not their right to assemble. If they don't have the common courtesy to allow people to go about their daily business then the likelihood of their gaining any respect diminishes accordingly.

Aren´t you the poster who was complaining that you were under constant attack? Grow a couple.

I feel bad for this business owner that he took an opportunity and missed it. All that volume and no sales.

poor little restaurant owner
his business is struggling to make it in a down economy caused in large degree by his wall street customers
and rather than blame the true culprits, he prefers to assign blame to OWS protesters who are no longer present
**** him

You don't need to respect OWS. But as they have the right to assemble and protest; you do have to tolerate them.

You certainly don't. Nor did I say you'd have to. But since they do have the right to assemble and protest, you do have to tolerate them.

It might have something to do with the way the OWS vermin are trampling all over the rights of others.

hanging out in parks indefinitely, does indeed prevent Johnny & Sally from playing ball in the park.

but OWS is trying to fight for the future of this country, while Johnny & Sally can just go to another park.

“Johnny and Sally” paid the taxes for that park. They have every right to enjoy it. The OWS vermin truly are, in that example, violating the rights of others. Most of them are worthless parasites who contribute nothing whatsoever to society, including the taxes to pay for the park and the other resources that they are hogging. This is classic “makers vs. takers”. It is never any surprise to find you on the side of the takers.

But you never answered the key question: When these filthy, disgusting, thieving vermin threaten your own livelihood, will you still defend them as you do now? Will you still take their side?

the OWS protesters pay income taxes & sales taxes. That funds the parks & the police. So don't go down that route.

and yes, I find the right to express grievances against the government is slightly more important than the right of Sally & Johnny to play ball with their puppy.
