An Iranian official disclosed new details Thursday concerning the reporting exposure of a U.S. spy ring in the Islamic Republic, saying that Tehran arrested 12 CIA agents. Parliamentarian Parviz Sorouri, who sits on the powerful committee of foreign policy and national security, claimed that the arrested agents planned to strike at Iranian interests with the aid of Israel.

This is a massive screwup. A DOZEN spies caught?

Well ah, why don't we wait for more info before taking the Iranian official at his word.

The last US "spies" were a couple of hikers.

Okay okay, we wouldn't want to say anything hurtful about your precious president. *sniff*

But we could all hope that it's not true...and pray for those who have been captured and who are now in peril if it is true.

What the hell does this have to do with Obama? Good grief.

It's called Obama derangement syndrome.

Clearly Obama wanted the spy ring to fail (if there was one).

Because as we all know, spy rings are really easy to maintain. Unless of course you have a communist president

Oh and while we're on the subject, I don't have a president.

I have a prime minister!

Cause that's the only reason for jetboogie to stick his nose in here, because someone might say something about his man. The hikers were identified as hikers from the beginning.

"Espionage is a risky business," a U.S. official briefed on the developments told ABC News, confirming the loss of the unspecified number of spies over the last six months

And there you have your proof how right I was. No one said anything about the prez in the OP or communism. Thanks jet for exposing yourself.

Let's take a look at what I was actually responding to shall we.

You made yourself look like an idiot and I used a bit of satire in my post.

Now you're trying to save face but you're gonna look even more foolish.

Stop digging the hole deeper.

Cause that's the only reason for jetboogie to stick his nose in here.

Um no it wasn't.

Sounds like typical Iranian-speak. Translated...We have arrested 12 Iranians. We will clarify/alter the reasons for these arrests as we see fit. For now, arresting them as CIA/Mossad spies will suffice and allows us to put the screws to them in Evan prison. Confessions will undoubtedly be forthcoming. All praise to Allah, who protects the Islamic Republic of Iran.

No, you exposed yourself on you second post. My second post was just to get you to bring up what was really on your mind, and you responded to it. You're standing in your own partisan hole, but you go right ahead and continue.

We'll see, the news of compromised spy ring was already out. Either way we'll have fun trying to info on the Iranian nuke development now.

You brought up the President not me.

And I made fun of you for it.

And you accusing me of Partisanship is like Saddam giving advice on Human Rights.

If I wanted to go there, I'd have done it from the start.

I suggest those saying this is not real watch the video at the OP's link. Iran gave details about how the CIA was operating that the CIA sources are confirming as true.

Given that regimes like Iran are prone to propaganda for consumption, I would wait until a corroborating source reveals whom these people are. But I am not beyond thinking that we don't have Spec. Ops. or CIA inside Iran. The question is, if true not that something went wrong in their discovery, and capture, but in what steps are now taken to get them out alive.

Ok, so they could be Iranians that somehow broke some law inside Iran and the Mullah's saw value in promoting them as American spies. Typical.
Apparently, they were indeed paid foreign informants for the CIA. It's very difficult to cultivate/maintain spy operations against Iran and Hezbollah. I tend to think these rings were low-middle echelon operations, but any loss of indigenous operatives is a definite intelligence setback.

Yeah, no doubt. But hey, all is good because are we not told that Obama is going to make it better by just talking with them? In any case I hope we can recover without much damage to our intel assets, starting Jan. 2013 should be a great start.

He's in charge. It's his show. Sooner, or later, he has to accept responsibility for something.
