Really? In all the talk about "predatory lending" I've heard precious few actually acknowledge that the borrowers bear some of the responsibility for agreeing to loans they couldn't afford.

(And why are we talking about it on this thread?)
Well, I am because this is where your post I responded to is. BTW, I genuinely like your sig. O'reilly is such a dope.

Id feel really sad that someone that had asthma was so stupid they didnt get up when the reality of being pepper sprayed presented itself. But hey...nationwide...just a guess...how many dirtbags get pepper sprayed by cops because they are being dirtbags and refusing to comply with lawful orders? That so many people are whining about this is comical. This happens daily when people refuse to follow the law.

Read that paragraph carefully and you'll find nothing about antisemitism, anarchy or the abolishing of this country.

So now that you know what their message is, Jmac, are you on board?
So OWS is protesting all those corrupt piece of **** democrats lining their pockets with banker, broker, and union dollars? Well...ok...but that doesnt change what the UC Davis people were protesting about...their student loans.

Lundberg v. County of Humboldt (2005): Pepper spraying non violent protesters violates the 4th.

San Francisco -- An eight-person federal jury returned a unanimous verdict for the Q-Tip Pepper Spray Eight activists/plaintiffs, finding the County of Humboldt and City of Eureka liable for excessive force in violation of the 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Humboldt County Sheriff's Deputies and Eureka Police Officers used unconstitutional excessive force when they applied pepper spray with Q-tips directly to the eyes of the eight nonviolent forest defense protesters in three incidents in 1997. Three of the activists were also sprayed directly in the eyes from inches away. Two of the young women were juveniles, aged 16 and 17.

Former Sheriff Dennis Lewis and current Sheriff Gary Philp also were found liable for causing the use of excessive force by setting policies allowing the unprecedented use of pepper spray on the passive demonstrators, who had locked their arms together inside metal pipes.

No Pepper Spray on Nonviolent Protestershttp://www.nopepperspray.org/opposit...certiorari.pdf

No, the OWS is not protesting that, because there are many spotlights on governmental corruption already (and rightfully so). The OWS is protesting the disproportionate say that the richest people in America have in making government policy. By doing this, they shed light on the true nature of some of the laws being made and who they really benefit.

Why is it reasonable to only point at those being corrupted, and completely unreasonable to point at the people doing the corrupting? I find it absolutely boggling that this has become a left/right issue. This is something that concerns all Americans, not just those with a conservative or liberal lean.

Right...they are mad that the bankers/brokers/unions bribe democrats to give them political favors...I get it. You are pissed that 7 of the top 10 richest politicians are democrats. I get it.

However the protesters at UC Davis (as well as many others in the OWS) are whining about their student loan debt and how unfair it is they have to pay it back. They ASKED for the loans to pay the UNIVERSITIES...and who do they bitch about? The banks. That were stupid enough to give them money and expect them to pay it back.

I don't see how. The way I see it, at least two parties signed those loans - the loaner and the loanee - and those parties need to be held responsible. I do kind of feel bad for those who didn't understand the implications of a varying-rate mortgage or refinancing, but oh well.

Thanks. That specific O'Reilly meme is one of my favorites.

I do enjoy Conspiracy Keanu and Good Guy Greg as well!
Ted Cruz is the dumbest person alive.

Why does that interest you more than the fact that people who are far richer than you have more access to government than you will ever have?
