NYC Judge Says Occupy Protesters Can Come Back And Bring Their Tents

A judge has ordered protesters be allowed back in the park with their belongings.

Another hearing will be held at 11:30 regarding the decision. The following is from a press release delivered by attorneys for the Occupy Wall Street movement. We spoke with one of the attorneys, Yetta Kurland. She told us that the team of lawyers put together cause in a matter of hours and that they're "confident the Court will uphold the Judge's ruling. We have the law, and we have public opinion on our side."
Earlier, at approximately 1 AM, the NYPD began amassing around Zuccotti Park "aka Liberty Park." In the following hours reports surfaced that the NYPD entered the park with police in riot gear backed up by numerous police vehicles, including a bulldozer, evicting occupiers. In the process they destroyed property and arrested dozens of occupiers and protestors including NYC Councilmember Ydanis Rodriguez and District Leader Paul Newell.

Im interested to find out why they had to be evicted? Health reasons? Whats the deal? But I am at least happy that they are allowed to come back to occupy and protest...

    Bloomberg is illegally ignoring this.
"I do not claim that every incident in the history of empire can be explained in directly economic terms. Economic interests are filtered through a political process, policies are implemented by a complex state apparatus, and the whole system generates its own momentum."

I think Bloomberg should give permits to some other group to bogart that area for as long as they like after kicking out the OWS group. I bet if you were to ask everyone one of these OWS about second amendment rights they would most like agree with every anti-2d amendment laws on the book regardless of the fact the 2nd amendment says shall not infringe, but for some reason they think the first amendment allows them to take over and bogart an area for as long as they like.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

There is a reason why the 1st amendment is, well.....first.

It's not in level of importance. The 2nd is just as important as the 1st and the 3rd and the 4th and the 5th and the 6th and the 7th........

Ny judges have most always ruled like this on protests...the mayor knows that but he is stuck between a rock and hard place...hes said that after the park is cleaned the OWS can return...where he differs from the judge he says no tents or sleeping bags ...
