Ohio voters reject GOP-backed union limits
several major league Republicans including powerful state Senator Bill Seitz opposed the bill

several of its more popular provisions will be enacted in the next few months

and Issue THREE is winning easily as of now-that is the one that is the anti Obama Care provision

Hey, if the idiots in Ohio think their taxes need to go up, so be it. This vote will only help the states that are going bankrupt to end that journey in a hurry.

Can't do meaningful layoffs with the collective bargaining extortion law in place, taxes will go up. Seriously, this is good news for non-union states, our taxes will be lower and we will be able to attract businesses from places like Ohio.

well, i'm not an Ohiowan and never will be, so i don't really care what they do there.

that said, i'm a firm opponent of public sector unions and I won't ever celebrate them being handed power over taxpayers/voters.
they should be banned outright,forever.....not given power over government..

FDR had it right...the labor unions of the 50's and 60's* had it right..... contemporary liberals and progressives and the modern labor movement have it wrong...
while they bray about democracy and the power of the people, they actively seek to undermine it.. and are quite adept and successful at it too.

*( in the late 50's the AFL-CIO executive council said "“In terms of accepted collective bargaining procedures, government workers have no right beyond the authority to petition Congress — a right available to every citizen.”)

What it means is that the people of Ohio realized that teachers and firefighters aren't the problem, despite unrelenting efforts by Republicans to demonize them.
