So what? the fact is that neither of them particularly care for Israel, and the mocking tone, and utter display of lack of support for the surrounded ally is enough o make one question the level of commitment from our President, in terms of his statements declaring Israel a friend. At the least it shows Obama has people in the region that he feels warmer about than Bibi.

They sound like two nineteenth century colonialists complaining about an unruly subject. If the microphones had stayed on a little longer we might have heard them say, "That uppity Jew just won't do what we tell him to even though he knows it's in our best interests."

Politics 101 is that the Mic is ALWAYS on..

Thats said, if I were the GOP I would be all over this. If Obama loses even half of the Florida, NY Jew vote he's in trouble. Jews actually go out and vote on election day.

But seriously. Did Obama really think anyone was buying his "We stand behind Israel" schtick?

I think it is wonderful that this came out. This only gives someone running against BO (Barack Obama not Body Odor, though both stink) and Democrats in some areas ammunition to pry the Jewish vote away from the Democrats. Maybe even someone as politically moronic as Steven Spielberg will finally get the message that these hacks (Democrats) are really bad for not just the country as a whole but Israel and the Jewish community as well.

Dude... this president Sarkozy sounds dodgy mate...
First the incident with Dominique Straus Kahn detained for an alleged sexual harassment which forced Kahn to leave IMF and disband his attempts to run for the French Presidency and now Sarkozy talks about a creating a ""New" Europe or else they will be left behind in history.
Honestly, it just seems to be an excuse to create a Federal Europe by saying that Europe will be left behind in history... as far as I am concerned, France is far from being left behind - their fiscal health is still pretty much intact and well at the moment.

Margaret Thatcher really saw that coming back in 1990 in a parliamentary speech...

Meh, I expect these kind of interactions between politicians. Not everyone is going to love everyone else and people are going to be somwhat candid with the only other people who understand the positions they're in.

What I find more hillarious is the reaction to this, as I can almost imagine the "HAHA! Bush is a BAFOON! Another gaffe and blunder by the oaf President, just going around insulting hte world" had the mistaken open mic been on during his Administration saying something like this about a foreign leader.
