Drug Charges don't have their own courts.... so how many judges are employed SPECIFICALLY to handle drugs???

Narcotics Police Squads are created out of EXISTING police officers... nobody gets hired on a department as a narcotics squad member.

The DEA would still have plenty of work to do dealing with already legal via prescription drugs, and ensuring that there doesn't remain an underground drug trade network avoiding the taxation if said drugs became legal.

Prosecutors would still exist because there are still crimes to prosecute.

Defense attorneys would still exist because Ive never heard of a defense attorney who only defends drug charges. (Specialize yes, only do? no)

Prison Guards would still exist because there would still be inmates.

Wardens would still exist because there would still be prisons.

If anything, many of those involved in organized crime that are serving time under drug charges would be there for something else by now. Many people are attracted to crime, just like many underage kids love drinking booze until they turn 21... then it just ain't all that special anymore.

All in all, you can't show why its law enforcement's fault that drugs are illegal. So stop blaming them.

Not only that, every time legalizing medical marijuana was on the ballot, the prison guard union pumped huge sums of money to oppose it. So did every police union in the country. They fear it's the first step toward legalizing marijuana, then all drugs... and if that happens, drug cartels will implode, prisons will empty out almost immediately, courts will actually have free time on their dockets, and thousands of police officers, DEA agents, and prison guards will be looking for a new line of work.

Thats a nice conspiracy theory you have there. Too bad its not supported by fact.

Fact is... nobody will be looking for a new line of work except the private businesses that run the Rehabilitation programs that are required by law for drug offenders to attend (and pay for out of their own pocket).

Yeah, them too. Too bad their job security requires society to turn into a ****can.

Do you really believe that if drugs were legalized, there wouldn't be a whole lot less crime to prosecute? Really?

There would be less cases to prosecute.

Which would take our courts from being highly under funded to being properly funded.

That wouldn't make people lose their jobs.... job GROWTH in some areas would be reduced...

I'm talking about the fact that you somehow got out of my post that I'm 'excusing' people when instead I was pointing out that other people are ALSO accountable. You seem to think that pointing out that others are accountable is an 'excuse'. If you think that's an 'excuse', then you must think that they shouldn't be held accountable.

How about you start reading my posts for what they actually say instead of attributing some BS meaning to them as you do in every thread and then responding 'what are you even talking about?" when I respond accordingly?
