I beleive most these agreements work both ways.

just as it can be argued that if she had wanted her version to be made public, she should have refused the payoff.

funny how these kinds of people always seem to have a change of heart and feel the need for the truth to be told.....after the payoff money runs out.
it would be foolish to accept either without more evidence. But it is funny how you're already defined her as these kind of people. Is that any better than someone defining cain as a certain type absent all the evidence?

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

It would be interesting to know some more details. The amount she was paid is interesting to me. My imagination leads me to suggest maybe she was an employee that was about to be let go or fired or was given a poor review or actually got let go or fired and wanted severence pay beyond the usual. File a sexual harrassment claim, get the severence and also gaurd against the possibilitiy the company will give a negative report when you apply for a job elsewhere. Of course could be the company was aware of some inappropriate interactions between her and Cain and just wanted to quietly get her out of the way.

Who the hell cares? Richard Armitage worked for Bush II, but proved to be in a manner of speaking a mole that aided in the liberal attempted take down of that administration. So just because someone worked for a particular administration means nothing. Plenty of examples of former 'republicans' now liberal hacks.

Really?!!! That's it?

Also, at least one of the accusers is a democrat registered voter. This is pure set up.

didn't you know? "could you doctor my tea" is code for "give me a blowjob or you're fired"
The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

or, if he actually wanted the truth to emerge, he could invite those who have accused him to come forth with their own stories, by expressing that he would not pursue any litigation against them for their public disclosures
then we would learn whether all he really said was "could you doctor my tea"

    but he won't
he will enjoy the ability to tell his singular side of the story while they are bound by a confidentiality agreement (one he may have breached)
that we have three women from the executive office of the NRA who have cited his instances of sexual harassment indicates his abuse of authority was likely real
we are negotiating about dividing a pizza and in the meantime israel is eating it

Can't breech anything you are not a signatory to. Anyway, why should he have to prove his innocence against baseless charges? Is that how America works now?

but his expressed willingness not to pursue litigation against those who came forward to share their version of events would demonstrate his desire to have the truth emerge
that he does not indicates otherwise

seems odd that one's employer would be willing to pay the at least $80,000 that we now know about for actions that its employee did not commit. but again, end the cloak of confidentiality and allow the nation to see what happened for themselves. release these women from their confidentiality agreements. only the guilty would oppose such a notion

yeah...I'd feel so much better about their altruistic intentions if they hadn't asked for money to keep quiet.
