I find it odd that the part of the world that is supposedly the most sexually and maritally strict, and which blames the "west" for all the immoral ills of the world, is the place where people are cranking out babies like jelly beans.

They're also way older than we are, as a civilization. When Rome was in its infancy, China and India were thriving polities already.

something has to give using the doubling time effect the population is going to be out of control in 50 years time! Either war or a virus, that si where my money is!

Ummm.... no.... they weren't... What polity in China was thriving in the 5th century B.C.? Indian? There were MANY polities within both civilizations, and most were NOT thriving...
