No, they are forcing people out for misdemeanor camping. Those people then decide to resist... then when faced with the possibility of being physically removed, they attack the police. Sorry, you don't get to attack the police because they threaten to enforce the law on you.

The camping aspect is just a pretext. If they were occupying with only their bodies 24/7, they would still be removed. The reason is that we have permit systems for Freedom of Speech now, which are unconstitutional but almost universally agreed upon by those in power (both Dems and Repubs).

If the police physically attack you, you have every damn right to defend yourself, especially if all you were doing was peacefully assembling.

The more that the police attack people for protesting, the stronger the protest movement is going to become. You don't jackboot people and get away with it. It's time for the systemic violence to end, and I support tearing down this current system with any means necessary. If the police want violence, then I say: bring it. The world needs to be shown how brutal American domestic policy is right now when it comes to those who oppose the State.

Yeah, that was what they said, however the truth has never been the strong suit of liberal, progressive anti capitalists. In fact there are those that would say this was totally predictable given the claims that people like this made against the tea party. And the violence totally accepted by this group will continue to be focused ever downward the income chain until everyone is as broke as they are. See, socialism never raises all boats to achieve their ends, instead it lowers them to equal misery.

It appears that you support OWS and the groups who are behind this protest but their background is rather murky..

While I'm proud of what our Conservative government has done recently (Canada's economy is booming and is expected to remain that way for at least 20 more years) there is a darker side.

Adbusters is a far left Canadian group located in Vancouver and is the main force behind the OWS crowd, though I have no idea who is behind Adbusters. I suspect it's the usual suspects J-Mac mentioned.
