    It's basic 8th grade chemistry.

    2Al + 2NaOH + 6H2O -> 2Na+ + 2[Al(OH)4]- + 3H2

All you need is common houshold items generally found in your mom's kitchen. Draino from under the sink(NaOH), aluminium foil (Al) and water (H2O).

As you can see by the equation this chemical reaction produces a lot of hydrogen gas (H2)

When you put a cap on the bottle the hydrogen gas pressure builds up in the bottle until.... BOOM!

The thing is, there is still going to be some lye left over when the bottle bursts. Since sodium hydroxide is very caustic, if it gets in your eyes you are going to have a really bad day. Wear safety goggles. And no smoking.
Would there have been enough hydrogen to produce a secondary explosion from the hydrogen if an open flame had been burning in the kitchen?

    Just curious.

You have Internet access, right? There are streaming videos from nearly every city that has hosted atleast one Occupy rally. All you have to do is go to the Occupytogether.org website, find any city (preferrably a large city like Denver, Chicago, LA/Oakland, Seattle, or Portland, ME, to name a few) and watch and listen to what these people are saying. There's really no excuse for you staying "trapped" or limited to events in just your city or focusing strictly on events in NYC. Again, these Occupy protest rallies are popping up EVERYWHERE! If you really want to know what's going on, you don't have to drive 200-300 miles to see events unfold for yourself. You're really just a few keystrokes and a mouse click or two away.

And he's Black!!!
Where did Herman Cain say the Tea Party was racist?

The only racism I've seen is coming from White Liberals against Herman Cain. Cain is actually a Tea Party favorite.

Let's not act like something like that has never happened before.
I'm not, and I've never claimed it was someone who was specifically for or against the Occupy movement who threw or planted the makeshift explosive. Nor have I claimed that it couldn't have been a plant. I'm just said the odds are against someone attempting to sabatog their own movement just to insight rage against the machine. Not impossible, not out of the question...but highly unlikely.

But regardless of who did it, I hope the police catch him and throw the book at him for the simply reason that somebody could have gotten hurt from their wrecklessness and stupidity.

He didn't say the Tea Party was racist. He said there were racist elements within the Tea Party movement...big difference.

That probably would be deadly, even from Houston, Texas.

A city that boasts nearly a dozen colleges and universities, including Liberal bastions like Clark and Becker and schools where the kids come out with massive debt bills like Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Instead of "Occupying" the Worcester Common (right behind city hall) these people have relegated themselves to Lake Park, which is literally about as far outside of where ANYONE in the City would ever see them as possible. They didn't even have the balls to resist when the Worcester PD threw them off the Common the one night they attempted to stay there.

I mock the Occupiers the same way I mock the Tea Partiers.... Give me a call when you people are ready to pick up the pitchforks, torches, and rifles. Until you're actually ready to DO something, get the hell out of the way of those of us who have lives we have to deal with. If you block the street in front of my car you're going to get run over, and I might just back up to make sure I got the job done right the first time.
seriously?? Dude you really do need therapy for your anger and hatred issues....

pitchforks, torches and rifles....running folks down with cars??? really? If some random group of people protesting something makes you "that" angry, Id be heading straight to the doctor to find out why. I mean, you can think occupiers and any other protestors are just full of batsnot and wasting their time, but dang... youd think they shot the mans dog or something. I can think of a few sorts of "protesters" or "groups" that I think are full of it .... but to be that angry? Just makes me wonder why...

you and conservative disagree on pretty much everything imaginable, but I dont believe hes ever wanted to run you over? (LOL at least he hasnt voiced that opinion)
