It's far more important that the government that emerges is stable, committed to democracy, at peace internally and with its neighbors, and is able to get its economy back on track.
So Islamists have sabotaged every other attempt at democracy, but will let this one work?

I see no evidence that they've "sabotaged every other attempt at democracy." There is a reasonably well-functioning democracy in Turkey that's ruled by an Islamist Party. It's not perfect, but it's much more democratic than any of the Arab countries. In fact, there isn't one Arab leader today who was elected in a free and fair election...and most of these leaders are secular. If anyone has sabotaged attempts at democracy, it is these despots who have intentionally destroyed all their secular competition so that they can say "It's either us or the big scary Islamists."

When the Scottish freed the Lockerbie bomber people in the states ( especially the GOP) were up in arms, disgusted that they would free the man and send him back to Libya who were seen as a corrupt regime and gaddafi the terriost backing leader. Now the regime has been toppled and Gaddafi is dead all you do is complain about how it is unjust it all is and how the rebels are no better, you people confuse me.

    That's a sweet dream world.

When the parliaments get blown up or the elected representatives assassinated, which God do the perps invariably pray to?

Its funny the British government said the same thing when the revoultion started here, they were seen dangerous crinimals who wanted to replace the old order in Europe and would lead us all to ruin. Seemed to have worked out ok.

There is plenty of violence emanating from secular Arab dictatorships too. Iraq under Saddam Hussein, Egypt under Hosni Mubarak, Libya under Gaddafi, Yemen under Saleh, and Palestine under the Fatah Party, etc. Secular leadership in each case. The problem isn't whether the country has a secular government or an Islamist government, it's whether it has a competent government that can keep the economy growing and where people are able to address their grievances in a constructive way rather than through assassinations and terrorism.

which God do the perps invariably pray to?
What does that have to do with anything?

There's no data to support the Muslim Brotherhood will bring democracy to Libya, or anywhere else.

You make me laugh when you suggest they are just a bunch of guys who get together to play canasta and happen to be Muslim.

Here's a very powerful video of him being capture before he was killed. I'm thinking this sends a very powerful message to other dictators....when your country is finally brave enough to want to overthrow you...get out.
The devil whispered in my ear, "You cannot withstand the storm." I whispered back, "I am the storm."
