Thieves preying on fellow protesters(Edited)

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Um... how did the geniuses at the NY post determine they were 'fellow' protesters???

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Those thieves are members of the group known as "the people". And they simply saw someone with excess, or at least more than what they themselves had, and decided to redistribute.

That's right. They sold that stuff and put supper on the table. Leftists are all about that.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Why are they crying about it? They want redistribution of wealth. The gal who lost her Mac? Why does she deserve to have a Mac? The guy who stole it had as much as right to it as she did. :rofl :rofl

What a great post!
well said;)

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

I have a question.......I didn't even know you could buy a Mac for $5500. Are there version really this expensive and if so, why would one leave them unattended in a park?

Her mommy and daddy bought it for her. She don't have a ****ing clue how much it cost.

Yeah! She was supporting corporate greed by buying the damn thing. She didn't deserve to even own a computer.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Nope! We are back to "this is a nation of laws".

Laws are intended to be reasonable, to protect the public and aren't to be used for revenue generation.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

LOL..kids is all they are, they are told to go here and do this and they do as they are told after all it's a party...it's obivious. Although this is a great country and if they feel they are being cheating let them protest, one or two things will happen, one light will break over marble head or they will reveal the youthful inexperience youngsters that they are.

I find it ironic too! Its so funny when people protesting being victimized are unexpectedly victimized!!! :rofl! Stupid hippie liberals need to take a shower and go get three jobs like everyone else in the 53% that actually pays taxes. Stop ****ing complaining about that the uphill incline from rags to riches has gone from 45 degrees to 89 degrees! Hard work is what made this country great, so forcing you to work harder will make it GREATER!!1!

It went from 45 degrees to 89 degrees because of too much government tampering with the private sector.

Not to mention the more you make the farther you get knocked back in taxes after the regulations. I thinks it's delicious irony that these people wanting more taxes have gotten a taste of what it's like to see your stuff "transition" to someone who hasn't worked for it.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

The problems that we may have with the current capitalist system are not computers and some folks being "too capitalist".

Its government, and most particularly socialists and nanny state folks like that most inept Obama. And the OWS flea-baggers.

They are the enemy of the engine of capitalism.

You said the following earlier:

Wealth is not zero sum. There is nothing between you and "new wealth", except an onerous government of liberal socialist nanny-state leeches, like the OWS folks and their Obama puppet masters, who would confiscate what you might be able to create for yourself.

Have they added market fundamentalism to the list of mental illnesses yet?

You sound just like a commie when they say "there's never been a true communist experiment.

I guess its more comforting than accepting the gkd of the market is just another spaghetti monster. That the folks with all the money you worship so shamefully simply don't giva a **** about you and are gaming the system like a mother****er while useful idiots like yourself run interference.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

When I was down at Occupy Wall ST. some of my stuff was stolen. Nothing vitally important but a bag and my sleeping bag, which I intended to donate anyway, were. This is a real problem but I would like to point out that as ironic as this is, 99% of the protesters are there for honest reasons, but others are more opprotunistic and could care less about the issues. There is a security working group that tries its best to make sure that everything is orderly but, as I say, **** happens.

Now this article is trying to use this problem to attempt to discredit the protestors. That in itself, is very dishonest. Of all the aspects of this protest, they choose to focus on that?

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

All societies throughout history have had the wealthy and the poor with the majority somewhere in between, but the stinky folks nowadays are just plain stupid therefore poor.

That's not true, actually. Most societies throughout history have had precious few wealthy and massive amounts of poor. The rise of a middle class is a relatively recent development in human history.

Yeah....they should get a job! It's not like we have near 10% sustained unemployment, a horrible economy, non-creation of jobs, etc.! It should be easy for them to get a job. Dumbass hippies protesting the current Corporate Capitalist model we have, entrenched through government action and force. Dumbasses. Serves them right to be stolen from!

Indeed, many were very structured. Very few rich who encompassed essentially an aristocracy; and then every one else who happened to be poor. The extreme difference in wealth distribution was hallmark of a closed economic system which pandered to the elite instead of the masses. Sounding a bit familiar, eh?

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

An over regulated government is gamed toward larger firms which have the resources to comply with the regulations.

That's why you see multi-million dollar companies speaking out in favor of higher taxes and more regulations.

100% Agree. I just think that, as bad as what we have now, historically things have been much, much worse. Kind of a glass half full perspective.

They are, we don't quite have a fully established aristocracy yet. However, while it is better than things have been in the past, they are not better than things have been on OUR past. I fear that we are just inching closer and closer to aristocracy. You're glass may be half full, but there's also a small hole in the bottom.
