Thieves preying on fellow protesters(Edited)

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

No I'm not. You're justifying one man with a gun to my face, while invalidating another, based on what's legal or not legal.

Meaning, when theft is enforced by law, you no longer consider it theft, but a "societal obligation".

Equivocation will get you nowhere.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Well as long as some of you are getting a Jolly out of criminal activity I suppose there's not a whole lot to discuss is there.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Is that not happening?

Your statement is a fallacy. People work under the table and pay no income taxes. Just because it is happening does not make it relevant to the discussion.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

You might want to try a different debate tactic (such as developing a strong premise in which to defend). Equivocation is a fallacy.

Ah, so you're one of THOSE types, lol.

Well, my point still stands. If taxable income is clearly defined by the rule of law, be a doll and post it, then explain it, lol. There's about....300,000,000 inquiring minds I'm sure that would LOVE to have your understanding of the subject.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

BECAUSE they don't have enough income.

How much income is enough, and how much is too much?

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

48% of income earning members of this society pay no Federal income taxes.

I would be happy for them not to.

That way, there'd be nobody to protect private property.

No money that exists because government says it does.

No cops to call when somebody bigger than you decides they want your ****.

Be careful what you wish for.

I want to know what laws reward Obama campaign contributors with sweetheart government loans.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Nope! We are back to "this is a nation of laws".

We are a nation of old laws that can be changed, and new laws not even passed yet.

That's why these debates take place. It's a if we COULD, SHOULD we sorta thing. I don't think anyone here is considering becoming a tax protester.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Seriously, what is this thread about? The OP is trying to use street criminals to validate the practices of crashing a global economy.

Evil Knievel couldn't make that leap.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Can you make a reply without the use of a fallacy?

Can you stop using the word fallacy? I assure you, it doesn't make you sound more intelligent, you just sound like every other guy like you I've debated in libertarian groups. Sorry, I'm just sick of that word. And there are so many other great words you could us...so sad, so sad.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Ah, so you're one of THOSE types, lol.

I am pointing out that you do not understand the clear difference between donation and taxation. Instead of accepting it, you instead continue to defend an invalid premise.

If you do not understand the very basis of taxation and its function within developed society, perhaps this is not the discussion for you

Do you understand the basis of taxation to support state sponsored criminality?

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Maybe not with someone as obstinately obtuse as you, but I'll wager the folks that come behind and read what the two of us have left will draw the same conclusion about you that I have. You're not bringing anything to the table other than "It's the law, so it's ok."

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

I want to know what laws reward Obama campaign contributors with sweetheart government loans.

Then start a thread about it. Your impending desire to go off on a tangent exposes how desperate you really are.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Taxes are not theft. What happened with GM was theft.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

It's my thread. There is no line betwen redistribution of wealth and criminality.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

It's none of your business what other people think they need, if it's gotten legally.

You said legally. There is no law without taxes.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Evil Knievel couldn't make that leap.

Even though the OWS movement is NOT about wealth redistribution, many of the people involved in the movement are all for it, and as such, it's ironic that THEIR wealth is being redistributed. Everything that has followed has just become a quagmire, lol. QUICKLY, too, I might add.

No, because it is pointless to try to have a discussion with someone whose relies on fallacious arguments. You are excusing theft because the particular party described in the OP has a different view, and because of this difference their rights deserve to be infringed upon.

Talk about nonsense.

I cannot help it if that is the only debate tactic you are capable of deploying. Your premise fails to support your conclusion.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

How much income is enough, and how much is too much?

Enough?

Maybe enough to owe income taxes.

Too much?

Concentration of owned wealth that actually negatively affects everybody else.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Do you understand the basis of taxation to support state sponsored criminality?

Your opinion of taxation in no way invalidates its place in developed society.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

Defend the criminality.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

I want to know what laws reward Obama campaign contributors with sweetheart government loans.

The ones OWS wants changed.

The ones that facilitate/reward corruption.

Re: Thieves teach OWS protestors about redistribution, the hard way

The ones that facilitate/reward corruption.

You mean most green energy subsidies? The protestors want those to end?
