The answer, as it always is, in education. Those who are educated and have ambition will be in charge and it doesn't matter whether they are in industry or in government. Sack all industry and you'll still have politicians and their cronies making hundreds of thousands, or millions as in the case of Richard Syron or Franklin Raines.That being said, I think everyone is "worth" a sustinance level of income, and no one's work is "worth" thousands of times anyone else's. Double? Triple? 100s of times? Yes, probably... but not the multiples we see between laborers, professionals, and the 1%ers. This is not a black or white choice between communism and unbridled free market capitalism. To frame it as such is disingenuous.
Now we have groups who have little real education wanting 'equality' when they are not equal and, if their situation remains the same, never will be. People will often they'll attach themselves to a scoundrel who they feel speaks their language and feels their pain, and usually to their own detriment.
