White House Tax Plan Would Ask More of Millionaires (Continued)

If you know what you're doing, starting a new business isn't risky.

Starting a new business is ALWAYS a risk, no matter WHO you are, and WHAT you know.

this is coming from a college kid who has never managed a payroll, never had to hire or fire people and has never had a full time management job?

You are the one whining about taking care of yourself not me. I have no duty to do anything but obey the laws and provide for my family. When you are able to do that without demanding others take care of you, you might have some credibility

This is coming from the person that claims running a business is easy and that anyone can do it as long as they have their mind set to it. :) (I set you up for that one, sorry :))

How is asking for a decent wage and fair practices in business whining? Looks like someone can't defend their ideals so back to insulting.

You obviously didn't understand what I was writing. I have no duty to risk any wealth or expend any of my time merely to give you a job. And I never said starting a business is easy for say a college kid with no experience. You are the one who said its not risky if you know what you are doing. Since hyou don't know what you are doing who can you make that claim, Its not easy writing an appellate brief say on a Title VII case but after doing it 25 times its far easier than the first time I did it. For some kid right out of law school its can be very difficult

So instead of spending your money (aka your time) starting a business and hiring employees and befitting a society, you just coach a soccer team... leave that crap to the peasants.

lets see

1) you lied about what you claim I said

2) you pretend that you know about running businesses

3) You labor under the delusion that other people ought to start businesses when they already have a fulfilling career that makes them sufficient income

4) you whine about helping others (its not a soccer team) and not getting paid for it

what you seem to be saying Is I have some sort of duty to create a job for someone like you

I don't know whether to laugh or pity you for such a pathetic outlook on life

I don't know how that was a defense or an offense, I'm probably going with an offensive statement though.

Jeezus Christ. Suck a 38 magnum. Pray for reincarnation. A do-over is your best hope.

Or better yet .... start a business with your own money. It'll cure your socialist virus ........... guaranteed ;)

You're probably getting paid what you're worth, not what you think is "fair".

He thinks I should give up a well paying useful job and then tell 50 Kids I sponsor, coach and run a NFP organization for to get lost since I have to start a business to employ some socialist kid who doesn't have the wherewithall to take care of himself

I'm not asking you to employ me, I'm asking you to employ the 9.1% unemployed.

why do I have a duty to do so? why don't you?

Because I'm not in the top 1% turtle, how am I supposed to pay to hire people? In fact, if you do have the means to hire unemployed people and you instead put your money away, I don't see how you can't call yourself greedy.

You are making a bigger fool of yourself. I don't have the means to hire unemployed people, I have all the employees I need and I am not willing to engage in doing something different just to make someone like you feel good

Your attitude suggests you will never be in the top one percent though.

So, wait a minute....anyone who has a rainy day fund, a retirement fund/plan, or some other form of excess(beyond the need of everyday life) of capitol is now greedy?

I'll keep saying this until someone addresses it. EVERYONE, every single person in this country, has the right to self employment. Meaning, everyone has a constitutional right to a job.

many many more feet than f/2 or f/4

I was just going to see if the guy was qualified for a gig on a photo set.

I know, its been years since I was a serious photographer. I did lots of sports stuff. If the light was good I went for a narrow f stop since I got better depth of field. However photographing say McEnroe serving I might go for a wide open one to only have him clear and blur the fans or stadium behind him. Of course if the light was crappy (I was normally shooting 400 speed B/W with Cannon lens and bodies) I might be forced to use a open aperture because the shutter speed was more important with fast moving athletes.

The question asked is actually a really tough one. An acceptable answer would have been " I need to check a depth of field gauge."

Yeah photographing sports shutter speed takes priority.

I mostly do portraits with a very shallow depth of field. I'm mostly old school and was trained to do as much as possible in the camera because doing it in the darkroom took a lot of time and airbrushing was not cheap.

I'm qualified for a gig on a photo set. You hiring?

Here's my website, lol

massive cool

now if our young socialist college kid actually is a qualified photographer or has similar skills he can hope the two of you bid over his services.

Well I sure wasn't going to say 19.25 feet or something like that. All I recall was that the narrower the fstop the greater the depth of field since the cone is much narrower. that's why those cheap instamatics had great depth of field-really small fstops. and I never did much portrait stuff other than taking senior pictures for the school yearbook:mrgreen:

Not bad now you just need to go out and sell it. And that is the hard part.

I just started getting back into it after doing it for years I hit a little bump in the road health wise.

Here is one of my fave images I did
