You never answered my question from yesterday. Do you get dizzy spinning so much or have built up a tolerance to it?

BTW there can be a net job gain and rising unemployment, eg Texas.

But it's interesting that you think that the benefits of massive deficit spending outweighed the costs under Reagan. How do you know that things wouldn't have been much better without all that unpaid-for spending? Spending that we're still paying interest on, btw.

What it all boils down to for you is Republican/Democrat. If a Republican does it it's awesome. If a Democrat does the same thing it's criminally negligent.
When JFK did the same thing as Reagan and GW BUsh it was awesome and JFK was a Democrat. Doesn't matter how does it but leadership isn't being shown today by this empty suit. Intead of giving positive speeches pro growth speeches Obama is dividing like a community organizer always ddoes.

I suggest you get off the partisan rhetoric and actually think for a change. Reagan received a lot of support from Democrats because of the positive message and his leadership. Consumer confidence showed it and that is missing today because we have a President that loves being President but doesn't have a clue handle the job of President.

Of course there can be a net job gain and rising unemployment i.e. TX. That isn't happening on the national stage and Obama doesn't have a clue how to manage a private sector economy. He is a community organizer and only knows how to divide.

I am getting tired of your bs and typical baiting and trolling. Either offer something of value or I am done with you, not put you on ignore but won't be responding to your posts.

What about Texas? Since the Great Recession officially came to an end in June, 2009 - unemployment has risen from 7.7% to 8.5% under Perry's watch.

    Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

In that same time, the national rate declined from 9.5% to 9.1%.

In both cases, jobs are being created - just not quickly enough to keep up with population growth.

Yes it has but so has the labor force thus job gains. People have lost their jobs but the net has been a job gain. The job market has not kept up with the population growth. I still believe 8.4% is lower than 9.1% or the 12.1% in California. TX has been affected by the recession but to a lesser extent than most states especially the largest ones.

If we had a national rate of 8.4% today we would be having a different discussion. Problem is we have a real unemployment rate today of 16.5% which liberals like you want to ignore.

Oh, and it appears that most of those jobs in Texas are going to non-natives (both legal and illegal).

But I didn't ignore anything. The point I was making was that while the unemployment rate in the US as a whole is down slightly (even the real unemployment rate is down from a peak of nearly 18% in mid-2009), it is rising in Texas. If the unemployment rate of the US had been going up by .7% (i.e. up to 10.2% instead of 9.1%), we WOULD be having a very different discussion.

But I guess in Texas, you get to call rising unemployment a "miracle".

Not unless the Fortune 500 companies moving to TX are hiring the non natives as you call them. Why the jealousy of TX? Amazing how little you know about what is going on in TX and how you buy what you are told by the media. I live in Houston and have for 19 years. I Just got back from two weeks in the Midwest and I can tell you 19 years ago this was the best move I ever made for my family. I can tell you that you don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. There is no question about it, business and new taxpayers will be moving to TX if Obama has his way of increasing taxes on the rich. That will affect state tax revenue and more and more people will be moving out of high tax states into low tax states like TX.
