Of course it is. Obama's covert and conspiratorial attempt at gun control. Holder is in on it and guess who else? Clinton, Schumer, and Whitehouse...
Was Operation Gunrunner a Pet Project of Gun-Control Senators? - Yahoo! News
http://feinstein.senate.gov/public/i...3-67a0dc739b9dAttorney General Eric Holder, questioned by Issa's committee, says he didn't learn of the operation until "weeks ago" and President Barack Obama said he hadn't heard of it either.
It's possible that Melson's operation was given tacit approval in a milieu of silence, referencing the policies of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and three ardent anti-gun senators: Dianne Feinstein, Charles Schumer, and Sheldon Whitehouse.
Earlier this month, the three senators sent a report to a congressional subcommittee recommending an expansion of ATF cooperation with Mexico to curtail U.S. gun sales.
Conspicuously lacking in the senators' report are any recommendations on border security. A real plan to secure the borders would interdict drug, human, and gun smuggling, were that the real intent.
The entire purpose of Operation Gunrunner seems to be to fulfill the wishful thinking of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who made common ground with Mexico's leaders in stating that Mexico's drug violence stems from lax American gun laws.
That baseball guy got put through the ringer for lieing to congress, Clinton got impeached, Holder will not get through this. He will resign because he has become to much of a distraction for the great obama, in other words, lie down Eric the bus is coming.
Mexico is a good neighbor. Reverse the situation, how would we feel if Mexico was smuggling guns by the thousands into NYC? What our government has been doing is really wrong on so many levels, illegal on so many more that it is mind boggling. Holder may do a Libby on this if the Democrats can cover it up enough to stop it at Holder. They may not be able to stop it there. No administration should deceive the American People, but they will if they can.
If there is solid proof that it's been going on since 2006 that's a whole new bucket of worms. In a strange way it may mitigate some of the damage on Democrats. Hard to say at this point.
S0 - I say let the chips fall where they may and may those who are found guilty of breaking the law be held accountable. I'm all for that. Would you agree? That would include the former Bush Administration as well. I'm thinking you couldn't actually handle equal treatment across the board. May you could. You don't sound as if you are capable.

If pot is legalized, it will hurt a lot of the smaller operations in the US, the nickle and dimers, their distributers, etc...not the HUGE cartels. Because those cartels are diversified. They have blow. They have opium.
There are tobacco companies who ALREADY have pot fields growing in other countries, awating the day the US legalizes pot. Once the FDA gets involved, the small time growers will not be able to compete, because they will not be able to afford to adhere to all of the regulations the FDA will require of the product. And a once naturally growing, fairly unmolested product will go the way of pretty much everything else this country grows.
Many people that are addicted wouldnt get a license anyway and still pursue the black market. They wouldnt want their name in some database. It would deal a blow to large and small time dealers. But who gives a **** about them.
And it would hurt the cartels, even if just slightly or a small jab. Stopping any of their traffic is a slight win.
